Michigan isn't pushing super hard for him
Yep, Michigan isn't pushing for him as they will be adding Juwan's son who plays the same position... definitely can't see how this helps Michigan State though, who people thought for awhile was the most likely landing spot. Believe he has visits to Bama and Memphis still to come. Certainly a positive sign for us, however.

Do your thing, TA.

Again, Donda has no coach, no gym, no teachers, no accreditation, no housing (maybe they crash in Ye's basement?), and the (maybe not yet-leased) property is located way out of town in the middle of horse farms. There also *might* be issues with some kids' eligibility for the coming season under CIF transfer rules.

I can only speculate on the reason why a parent would pull their kid out of school mid-year to send him cross country to a situation like this. I suspect many of you are thinking the same thing as me. I really hope for the kids' sake that this works out.

Nothing like a well thought out plan.

So, Kanye releases a new album, Donda, and then opens a school for aspiring basketball players, and the school is also named Donda. I hope this works out better than when Bon Jovi opened that school for aspiring cosmetologists called Slippery When Wet.
Donda is for his mom, Donda, who was a professor at Chicago State. She passed away in 2007. Also hoping this goes well.

I don't expect this to go well. It's also heavily sponsored by Adidas, per the article. Also not good. Just hope the kids don't get caught up in something and end up in a bad situation.

Anything "sponsored" will likely be well resourced. Adidas has proven with Beckham, Messi and Derrick Rose, among others... that they will spend gobs of money on marketing and sponsorship. Will watch development of program and players with interest.

There are so many home school programs out there who’s to say that’s not what this will be on the academic side?

Then it’s basically just AAU basketball for the hoopin side.

I could be way off-base here, but why would any of these kids care about CIF? I believe most prep schools operate outside of the state high school athletic governing body and the team doesn’t compete in the state tournament. Like Oak Hill Academy has been for years.

You’re right. Only matters if they plan to play CIF opponents. I think. Could be hard to put together a full schedule this late in the year.
