Morez Johnson is reportedly among the top 5 prospects regardless of class in the state of Illinois. Just to kinda put this in perspective.

Wow, I love the commitment in this story. I read it twice and felt the pride well up inside.
We are building something special here.
There hasn't been much discussion about him on here, but he's got some big name offers: Ohio State, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas.
Love, love, LOVE the statement he put out:
"It has always been a dream of mine to represent my hometown...I've visited more than a few high level programs, but the feeling I got when I put on the Illinois jersey was like no other"

This one came out of nowhere, but a very nice get. Potential through the roof on this kid. The Meanstreets pipeline is in full effect with TA.
Can someone get some highlights on here? I read he was a monster at Pangos 2021 but I can't see anything from Twitter while at work. When someone imbeds it though I can usually watch it.

So, he's like a 4 star commit?

Unicorns and rainbows, baby!
Johnson is a major impact player. Sky high ceiling.
Big get for Anderson!

I know this video leaves a lot to be desired but you can clearly see the potential. He could end up being our long sought after consensus 5*.

No doubt. Its HQ in Columbus is a half-block away from the church I grew up in. Strolled past it while visiting two weeks ago and thought of submitting my OHSAA medical cards for sports while in high school decades ago.To be fair, however, "THE" is not included on the sign. I guess there's enough of that nonsense three miles down the street from there:

Definitely. A long way 'til he's a senior, but his floor projects as a high 4 star.
Someone tell me that Johnson and Brown are close and want to continue playing together.

have to imagine that having TA in his ear as he develops can only help. wouldn't expect a JR-like plateau

And the article says #2 in the state for 2024 and could be top 30 nationally. I'll take all the 4/5 star power forwards we can get.

For those noting that Johnson is unranked by the recruiting services, Boswell wasn't ranked as recently as this early summer.
what a pleasant surprise!

Love to see him at #2 in the 2024 state rankings, with his teammates coming in at #1 and #5. Amazing get this early in the process.

Go lock up Rodgers TA and let's make this a fun a$$ weekend!
Is EJ Lidell with a better outside shot (at the same age) a good ceiling comp here?
