Indiana did a good job of making the mid range jumpers that the Illini defense allows. That's really why Illinois isn't ahead. Indiana simply managed to get to the 15-18 foot range after ball screens and either make shots or draw a foul on the Illini player trying to get around the screen.

IU has been able to get ball inside the arc and score efficiently. Feel good to only be down 2. Brads been very good coming out of half, interested to see where he goes. Really hope he goes back to Goode this half. Just feels like one of those games where the hometown kid could prove big for us!

I have to admit , we got bailed out on that Plummer 3 point shot...........................This is almost a replay of last year's foul calling marathon....

Hope our recent fast starts in the second half continues.........

I just ordered $100 worth of pizza. When it gets here I'm telling them I decided on tacos instead.

I love Trent. He does a lot. But he has to get us into our offense quicker and look to the post and Kofi rolling. We are starting every possession with 23 seconds on the clock and he never hits Kofi on the roll. Grandison is our only starter that gets Kofi the ball quickly. Curbelo looks like he’s in slow motion. Just a flat effort.

We also missed A LOT of good looks that half. Kofi missed a few bunnies he usually makes, and Belo had a few wide open lay-ups he blew because I think he was surprised how open he was. Timely jumpers for Trent all half. On TF, this is the hardest I’ve seen him have to work through screens on defense. IU bigs screen hard.

Halftime report from inside the 'other' Assembly Hall. Kofi not being double teamed. Need to feed him and he needs to slam the damn thing. Rebounding needs to improve as a whole. Referees are horrible all the way around. Curbelo needs to quit the runners, hasn't made one yet. Defense is ok but needs to handle the switch better. Last point, this building sucks.

Don't mind the reffing. I don't mind ticky tack calls and long as:

1)It goes both ways
2)They don't change the way it's called at the end.

Both coaches can address it at halftime and adjust accordingly.

Indiana is in awful foul trouble, Jackson Davis was on the bench for 16 minutes in the first half..can't ask for much more.

Kofi has been less than stellar. He missed 2 or 3 point blank layups. When he's truly engaged, those are dunks. He's also hasn't been great on the defensive glass. Hopefully he turns it around.

Grandison is also quick about getting our opponent the ball.
