In the game thread, someone said if you want to contend and win a Big 10 title, these are the games you win. Rutgers has beaten:

Illinois
Purdue
Ohio State
Wisconsin
Michigan State

LOL So who is going to win the Big 10 since all of these teams are disqualified?
Rudkers, or however you spell there !!!!!! name

In a sea of guys that look like they want nothing to do with offense right now, RJ has both the tools and willingness to be a force. And after two bad defensive possessions in the first, he played lights out d in the second. He needs at least 20 minutes a game from here on out. He is the difference-maker this team desperately needs right now.
Agree 100%. My clan was screaming for him to come in. look what happens when he plays.

Underwood needs to figure this out NOW.

The U of I Department of Psychology could save a lot of money by cancelling their text book orders and using the Loyalty game threads instead. Everything they need is there!

We are in good shape. The B1G is a gauntlet, not just for us, but for everyone. BU will make the adjustments, and the boys will come out fighting on Saturday.

We should've put a big wing on mulcahy. He can't handle the ball well enough to facilitate facing up. Trent is a good defender but his style doesn't surpress what mulcahy does.

I knew we were in trouble when Ron harper Jr. Banked in a 3 pointer because it just signaled who's side lady luck would be on tonight.

Houston, we have a problem…
Let's just take the Orange colored glasses off for a minute and dissect this periodRutgers played like the team that was contending for a big 10 championship not us.

Our flaws are being exposed and unless we do and unless we do something about that we are very much trending in the wrong direction

I love this team, I love the coaches, I love our players.
However, Some of our guys are worn down and worn out.

I am actually driving from the burbs of Chicago to go see the Illini play versus Michigan state on Saturday and after what I saw today I am dreading what might happen on Saturday.

But, I will keep the faith and hope we fix our flaws

Super tough opponent tonight. I was predicting just one win out of the Rutgers, MSU and Michigan road games. We're still on plan.

(Rutgers reminds me of 1985 Villanova. I was living in PHIL at the time and they were fun to watch.....a veteran squad with complimentary pieces. Great
chemistry!)

I won’t lie, that gave me awful flashbacks of our “almost comebacks.” It’s all mental … we could have played with that fight the whole time and literally won. This was disappointing, period. We didn’t lose because RU was hot or we were cold - even though both were true - and every fan knows it. If anyone here claims we matched RU’s energy … I don’t know what to say, lol, you are WRONG.

We need to win out to be champs, IMO, and we are perfectly capable of it … but we were capable of winning tonight, too. Whatever is up, let’s fix it and go beat Sparty.
Yup
Energy was not there.
Fight was not there.
These guys looked they they need a week off the last three halves.

Rutgers is a NCAA tournament team with four straight wins over ranked Big Ten foes. We didn't bring it until way too late, we deserved this loss. It would of been nice if we would of played better but Rutgers is the hottest team in the league.

Rutgers was the FAR BETTER team today. And, I expect them to be that good moving forward. Not so sure about our team - might have hit their peak and are in a downslide. Let us see

Hat tip to Rutgers for fighting their way back into NCAA contention.

The Illini are going to lose every time they get stomped in the rebounding category and the guards collectively shoot under 30%.

I'm starting to think that Trent is more injured than anyone is letting on.

Humiliating defeat for the Illini. Out-rebounded, outshot, out hustled, can’t make free throws nothing else to say!
