We go as Kofi goes.
Kofi’s play and early Ft’s cost us this game. :(

Too bad about Melendez. This could have been his breakout opportunity.

Kofi wasnt his best but he absolutely was getting hammered on some of those misses. Nice to see they finally call clearing space with the elbows after no one has gotten that call against the main culprit (Edey) all year....

That was a tough loss to stomach. Good effort at the end but came up short. Probably Kofis worst game this year. Worst reffed game this year too. Doubt it’ll be that bad going forward.

I’d also like to see more of that small ball lineup with Hawkins at center once in a while.

EJ and Brahman hit tough shot after tough shot..give credit where credit is due.

Kyle Young having a great game also doesn’t help. Dude typically throws up bricks against other teams

I believe if the tv would show what really happens underneath against Kofi, you would change your mind about Kofi’s play. Yes, he shouldn’t bring the ball down sometimes, but he gets hammered almost every time he catches the ball or makes a move. Brad finally had enough.

Too much hesitation after we went cold hurt us bad, but defense stepped up to keep us in it. Could’ve used RJ for a spark tonight. Please tell me this is the turning moment for Sadie Hawkins and that he’s finally figured it out. Curbelo progressing but still rough at times. Learn and move on we will be fine I think.

If you look at some of our poorer performances, we start out strong, extremely focused, get a big lead, and then relax and let the other side get momentum. Sometimes we recover and go on to win. Other times are like tonight. We need to learn to keep the pedal down and our foot in the back of their neck.
It is encouraging that when we are down late, we can refocus and make a game of it, but we need to learn from this.
I would like to see BU go small once we get a big lead like we had tonight and press. Maybe play some of his old style ball-you-man defense for a while (instead of going to a zone to throw the other team off).
Oh, and "f" the refs.

Twice Liddell was almost laying on somebody's back (once biting on a Kofi pump fake and the other what should have been an obvious over the back on Damonte)with no call but they called some really ticky-tac stuff the other way. Kofi was getting hammered on the double teams even more than normal but the refs ate their whistles. The one ref that started calling fouls for Illinois was the one on the receiving end of BU's rage after his first T

We all know we’re capable of great three point shooting, we all know Kofi can dominate and we all know we can play great defense. We NEED a better “Plan B” when one of those three things are off. That’s what separates a Final Four team from a Second Round exit.

It should have never come down to requiring an (almost) miracle rally to win the game, even with piss poor officiating. Mark my words: the inconsistency of this team will be the reason we likely don't make it to the second weekend of the tourney, and it's the reason we just probably lost out on the B1G title
If we celebrated a shared title with purdont after they swept us it would be hollow as the fighting Howard's title last year...but dude I don't think I've ever taken the side of we got hosed be the stripes just like Brad has never been thrown out but c'mon man open your eyes

Brad should rip the officials and the league and get the fine and Whitman should step up and pay it very publicly. This needs to be called out as much as possible if it's ever gonna change. But it has absolutely been going on for 40 years and I am not exaggerating in the least. Have witnessed it myself.
