Haven't read the whole thread, but I assumed our first round tournament loss meant that Wisky would get that treatment over us.

I’m not mad about our draw - and certainly don’t believe anyone in the committee is trying to make compelling stories around a four seed with “they upset them 25 years ago” or “Sampson stole their recruit 20 years ago”.

That said, I would much rather have Wisconsin’s spot.

Almost every team has been seeded where they were projected so far (including those in our path), and higher seeds have been playing closer to home for several years now.

We need to play with a chip on our shoulder and forget everyone else

That's the idea. Where were we last year? What was our seed last year? I like us being the underdog role. People are already penciling Chattanooga in.

Their only Quad 1 win came a couple hours ago. They were projected to be a 5 in the bracket matrix for weeks.

They are good for sure but their level of competition has been weak compared to say - us.

Thought the same thing. I would trade places on the bracket with Iowa in a heartbeat. Providence is way overseeded. Houston is way underseeded.

Disagree. Providence certainly over-achieved and pulled some rabbits out of their hat, but they won the Big East. Houston has one quad one win, and it’s against a team that beat them twice this year (and their seed was locked in before they beat Memphis today).

i am surpised they didnt put akron up against the illini, but these story lines dont just happen..
