Houston 68, Illinois 53 Postgame

[Dan]

[LvilleILL]

Good season. Onto next year, hopefully Jake and Kofi are back. Future is bright as we saw today

[blackdog]

We still won a B1G title and the future is looking bright!

[Champaign88]

For the second year in a row in the second round, the opposing coaching staff smoked our coaching staff like it was April 20th.

[Docta Illiniwek]

the fatal flaw of this team is we had good shooters and good defenders. But we didn't have players that could do both besides Trent

[ChicagoIllini]

Keep recruiting shooters. We need them.

[The Galloping Ghost]

This hurts. A lot. Two years in a row losing in the round of 32 is just tough. Heck of a season, but it's gonna take a long time to get over this.

[illinitiger]

Yep...Houston nose for rebounds is something to emulate

[sacraig]

At least we can hope that Frazier gave Sampson pink eye.

[Pikeillinifan]

Gonna miss watching the seniors and Kofi, loved having them represent the Illini.

Can’t wait until next year.

[IlliniShelt]

It's a shame that our seniors couldn't have played better down the stretch. They are so much better than this

[DICKnaggie]

Better team won today. Thanks to our seniors and best of luck in the future. Excited about next year!

[BlueLeader]

Good season. Onto next year, hopefully Jake and Kofi are back. Future is bright as we saw today

Hopefully Curbelo too

[FromTheLogo]

I am frustrated at Underwood's lack of adjustments. He said in a press conference that he is a creature of habit and likes to keep things the same. By contrary Eric Musselman from Arkansas says he changes defense every TV timeout to keep opponents guessing. You can give me all the stats you want, but to see no adjustment to stop the mid-range jumpers, only adding a soft press towards the end of the season, not playing Curbelo, Jake, etc. the whole second half, delayed shaking it up in the first half, bringing the same starting five out in the second half. His pride just gets in the way sometimes.

[Ignatius Shang]

Outplayed and outcoached today. We have no choice but to trust the freshmen next year. Thank you Trent, Damonte, and probably Kofi for the great moments last 3-5 years, a BIG tournament, and a BIG regular season champion. Hopefully we can make it to the NCAA tournament again next year.

[IlliniFaninHoosierLand]

Well after today's game, I've decided I'm not going to watch another Illinois game the rest of the season.

[madcrazeeballa]

Bummer of a way to end the year. Great season…Big Ten Champs. Thanks to the seniors! Future is bright

[Illini8420]

Please recruit bigger guards who can take care of the ball and shoot when needed. That’s all.

[hiberto]

BU is getting the recruits but needs to start doing better in the tourney. hopefully the guys coming in will help us go farther than the first weekend

[BRucks]

For the second year in a row in the second round, the opposing coaching staff smoked our coaching staff like it was April 20th.

What he said.

[GrayGhost77]

At least we'll still get to hang one banner.

[Calillini]

Ok, we got another BIG banner and another first team AA

[suburbanILLINI]

Thank you Trent and Damonte for 5 incredible years
