There was time on Loyalty where people said the insiders on this board were getting there tidbits from 247's premium board, but having been on Loyalty for 7+ years I'm beginning to think it's the other way around.

The poor guy was attacked constantly on social media and on some message boards. These kids(and they are kids) read this stuff. Frazier had to come to his defense early in the season. Again, I don't want to speculate because I just don't know, but if it were me at 19(oh to be 19 again), I'd be tired of it and more importantly 2)my parents would have been. New starts can be a great thing
I don't disagree. A fresh start maybe good for all parties involved. But every fan base has social media morons. If he doesn't perform at a new location he will receive the same social media backlash.

Aren't Anderson and Murray from LSU close? I would love some size at guard. I hope he becomes and Illini and if Adam wants to come along then come along.

When's it all said and done...I truly think the 22-23 Illini will be markedly more well-rounded and better than this year's team.
We have our first Big Ten regular season Champion since 2005, with four "seniors" playing big minutes, and we're likely to lose 80-85% of our scoring, rebounding and assists, and add 5-6 brand new guys who have never played together. "Better than this year's team" would be an astounding accomplishment. Not impossible, but National Coach of the Year level.

He said more well rounded not better. We had no slashers.... for example.

Crazy gloom and doom.

Andre loves Brad and our program. He was a rising star freshman year and got derailed by injuries this year. With Kofi gone he will be the focus of the offense. I don't think he goes anywhere.

Coleman has seen steady improvement in his playing time. He is our only returning big with significant playing time 19 minutes per game. He finished season on high note with great games vs Indiana Iowa and UTC

Iowa 37 minutes 9 pt 11 rb
Indiana 32 minutes 19 pts 4 rb
UTC 10 pts 32 minutes 8 rb

Say what now? I am working on the assumption it is likely Kofi is back. At least 65/35 that he is back. I quite honestly think UofI is the place he can make the most money next year.

This is correct, and the last 2 teams we have had have been awesome.... but they also have had some glaring weaknesses. Specifically, adding some legit size/length at the guard and wing spots (RJ and Luke are wonderful starts, plus Rodgers) are musts... and that is something you can do quickly in the portal. If we do land Clark, then a big guard and stretch big... we become much more versatile and less dependent on slowing the game down and dumping the ball into Kofi every possession. Just my 2 cents.

I mean everyone said the same this yr with losing Ayo.... they went out and won the B1G regular season.

I personally feel that if Kofi comes back we certainly can be better. I have more confidence in Goode or RJ with a little experience than some of the graduating seniors. Also Texas Tech, Nevada, and others have done exactly that through the transfer portal. The transfers being discussed are not those from 7 or 8 years ago. We didn't lose any NBA level talent that can't be replace with someone as good or better given BUs success and Chester and Anderson.

On a side note after watching matrix I love saying Anderson. Lol go Illini and go Anderson!

I mean we were getting similar rhetoric about this years team despite losing Ayo, Adam, Giorgi. We turned around and won a share of the big ten despite Curbelo's concussion issues, Kofi's suspension/concussion, Hutch injury, Trent missing time/perhaps not 100% all season.

All to say - I like where we're at right now a heck of a lot more than the types of discussions we were having 5-6 years ago.
