Do we get a commitment today?

Man, assuming this is all true, I'm bummed about AC. Really thought he was going to be the next guy (after Kofi) to earn himself a spot in the rafters and still think he could if he stayed. Seriously the most fun player to put on an Illini jersey since Dee Brown. I'll never forget some of those unreal passes from his Freshman year. Maybe we should have an appreciation thread for those of us that need some extra time to process these changes, lol.

Good things ahead.

You know it was interesting last year when Ace left, I was shocked but never really felt anything negative. Legit wanted him to do well. Felt bad when he got injured. I loved what he brought as a freshman.

If we lose a fan fav, it’s ok to still root for them and follow them. I know I will really want Belo to succeed for example, if he chooses to move on. He’s a fun guy to watch and an easier guy to root for.

Still family I guess as they say. :)

When's it all said and done...I truly think the 22-23 Illini will be markedly more well-rounded and better than this year's team.
Completely agree. It was evident over the last half of the season that we had become too Kofi dependent (and understandably so). Love the freshmen who will be sophomores, the incoming recruiting class, and the potential transfers.

I'd love if Murray came from LSU and Adam came back as well. Word here in Peoria is he would not have left to start with if he had his way but wanted to please others.

Coleman and his dad's liking a series of tweets calling Kelvin Sampson the best coach in the country and not agreeing with how BU handled the roster doesn't lend itself to confidence. Hope he stays - would love his role in a more up-tempo offense next year.
Lol He liked them? Sampson left Hawk and Belo open to shoot threes and they missed several open looks. That's why Goode and RJ were inserted along with Belo making poor passes. BU clearly gave Belo and Hawk the green light and they missed. They guarded RJ and Goode and I felt they responded. It was one game and Hawk would be a big part going forward if he realizes that

Nothing comes fast, especially success unless you’re THAT gifted. Sometimes, players and people don’t see that. All is well with the Illini.
