I dislike the phrase “force out” when it comes to players who have committed their time and effort to a school. If I’m thinking correctly
For sures = Rodgers, Harris, Epps, Dainja, Podz, Melendez, Goode, and Hawkins (8)
Probably = BBV and Kofi (10)
No clue = Lieb, Hutch, Grandy
That leaves 2/3 spots for = Clark, Shannon, Murray Williams, Miller, and Bates
Would think the staff wants Clark, Shannon, Murray, and Bates. So they have might force BBV out.
Agreed. Really wished he’d excelled here. Always rooted for him and hate to see him not catch on.Seems like a really good guy -- feel bad for him that his college career has not gone as he likely expected (given his HS ranking). Hope he finds a better fit and wish him the best wherever he ends up*.
*with a few obvious exceptions
A couple of those for sures are not for sure. Lotsssss of moving parts ahead that will dictate a couple guys decisions. If I’m thinking correctly

Don’t see them all ending up here. Don’t like the Creaning option…of course also don’t think it will be necessary afaik. If I’m thinking correctly

Clark, Shannon, Williams, transfer bigRather force Lieb and Hutch out imo.
Is Kofi making enough NIL money to pay his own tuition?
Don’t forget landers. They’re all coming here! We’re gonna need more creaning.Don’t see them all ending up here. Don’t like the Creaning option…of course also don’t think it will be necessary afaik.
If Kofi stays, is the big man trio of him, Dainja, and BBV (also Hawkins possibly since he can also play the 5 if need be) not enough? Why would we need a transfer big on top of that? Unless BBV is leaving too?Clark, Shannon, Williams, transfer big

Yes. But why does that matter? Is Kofi making enough NIL money to pay his own tuition?
Well I doubt you see Hawkins at the 5 much. Dainja will be the backup 5….he will also play some at the 4….the hope would be the transfer big is better than BBV.If Kofi stays, is the big man trio of him, Dainja, and BBV (also Hawkins possibly since he can also play the 5 if need be) not enough? Pretty obvious since Dainja came in. Between that and BBV asserting himself above Payne in the rotation he was going to move on.
3 years of murray would be great, but shannon gives us our best chance of championship aspirations next year, so I'm going to disagree (No I don't think we're a title contender for next year atm, but I think we could be in the conversation as our roster takes form)I know it doesn’t matter but I’m in the Murray > Shannon boat btw.
I'd probably agree but wouldn't turn down either. Either one of them would be huge.I know it doesn’t matter but I’m in the Murray > Shannon boat btw.
It’s like when the Cardinals get a veteran to take less to get more players around them… except it’s nothing like that.Yes. But why does that matter?
If you are looking at him as a 3rd string center I think BBV is perfectly serviceable. He absolutely held his own in some important games this year. Not a big threat offensively but I find it hard to believe the staff can convince someone better to come in to be 3rd string.Well I doubt you see Hawkins at the 5 much. Exactly. If Kofi is staying, I'd honestly prefer no changes for our 4s and 5s.If you are looking at him as a 3rd string center I think BBV is perfectly serviceable. The staff agrees with you.I know it doesn’t matter but I’m in the Murray > Shannon boat btw.
So has he already graduated and is going into grad school?TSJ is waiting for a domino to drop before making any decisions. Think the admissions thing has been sorted out. Illinois was very proactive there. It’s like pulling teeth with grad programs though.
We don't win the Big Ten without his performance at Nebraska. Good luck Omar!
