Is this real? If so, I cannot say I am surprised though. I hope this gives Brad the reason to play freshman more. However, I am sure there were reasons he gave RJ and Goode more mins than Podz. (It was kind of obvious though.)
I don't think Brad will be bothered by this when the guards coming in were going to play over him. Look for UW-Milwaukee as a landing spot

Sorry to see Podz go. Thought he had good long-term potential, though really didn’t see him as much of a contributor this coming year as others did. So perfectly understandable. Seems like a wonderful kid with terrific work ethnic. He’s going to make some coach and program very happy.

Love his work ethic, but he didn't look like a Big 10-caliber player this year. Hope I'm wrong and he thrives somewhere else — and albeit he didn't play much, but he just didn't look like he quite had the speed/burst to keep up at this level. Wish him the best wherever he goes. A mid-major is probably a better fit for him, IMO.
Podz was always a gamble coming out of small-time HS basketball. From Day 1 it was apparent he wasn't quite at the level of RJ/Luke. He worked his !!! off, but he was a ways away from being a good B1G player. Could he have made an impact within a few years? Sure. Would I bet that that impact would have been significant? Unfortunately, I wouldn't. Podz can certainly be a good player elsewhere-but I think the talent we have coming in would've made it hard for him to carve out a role here.

In this day and age, there is no such thing as long-term in college basketball.

We're down to thee guards on next year's team, all Freshmen. While all three look promising, that clearly isn't enough bodies.
I am assuming the reason for this happening so late is that he sees the writing on the wall and we will be brining in people that would have been ahead of him. I am sure we will load up fine. long way to go still.
