Nope, you're right. Mike Davis is the coach at Detroit Mercy and his other son is an AC, that's why Antoine was there ...
Believe he was born in Alabama? Played HS/AAU in TX. Committed to Houston out of HS before his Dad got the job at Detroit Mercy.

I wanna say Detroit Mercy was like 325th in the country in AdjD ... I haven't watched a ton of film on him defensively, but if the team is that bad it tells me a lot
Defense part was mostly hope...lol..
We can always use a scorer.
He has never taken less than 420 shots in a year, and that was in 22 games. As a Fr. he took 657 shots. He took 623 as a Soph and 555 as a Sr.
I think we've never had anyone take more than 460. So Antoine would be looking at around 1/3 the shots he's used to.

player expectations I s’pose
Although, I have to think those shot attempt #s are a bit inflated/on the high side because he’s called upon to be a scorer night in-night out at Mercy and they don’t have much else to compliment him offensively.
Plus, if he were to be surrounded by well-rounded scoring on a talented team (top to bottom) he obviously wouldn’t NEED to chuck it up as much.
I know nothing about him. But, just maybe
he’s in the portal because he wants to be on a winner/contender …and the trade off might be you know…accepting he’s now one of several weapons on a special team.
I’m not him, but to me it sounds like a pretty good trade-off.
Rehashing and the same speculations with nothing new LOL Its like the forecast in July in Dallas, everything is the same. It would be nice if we can get some commitments. LOL
