Happy for Curbelo. Really hope he does well up there, and hope he’s treated better going forward by his new fans than he was by many of us.

I'm pretty sure I've got whiplash from how quickly it went from "Curbelo is gone" to "maybe he comes back", to him committing to St. John's. Regardless, hard not to root for him and I hope he does amazing things out there.

Gavitt game matchup?
It almost has to be.
Honestly, there's nothing to do but wish AC well. I think he deserved a bit better from the Illinois fans, but there were also some major issues in his game that really developed this year.
With that said, I will absolutely be making a trip or two to Butler to see him play over the next two years.

Belo seemed to have no problem getting a shot up on the rim, which was a talent of Deron, but not Dee. Really great to have at the end of shot clocks and crash the boards. If he actually starts making a majority of them, combined with his ability to make very special passes, he’ll be everything you could hope for in a PG. The risky passes and dribbles he likes to make combined with the shots he missed left a sour taste in some Illini fans’, but he could be just a bit more healing time away from being the AA many predicted him to be. Not sure how the StJ environs will affect his off-court dramatics, which I think Brad wanted to see less of.
