As an 80's grad student on engineering campus we would have gone to

#1 Papa Dels (on the corner) - slize of pizza
#2 Murphys - bacon cheese burger
#3 White Horse - Friday fish fry
#4 Zorbas - gyros

I think only Murphy's is left...
I put La Bamba on that list...thankfully still around but a long ways off campus now. Every in-person game the last few years has been Murphy's pre-game, game, La Bamba post-game. At least it's close to the highway!

Hopefully these experts are correct - I like that Austin Massey is InsidetheRedRaiders.com so at least his is not random fan. Plus since he is covers Texas Tech maybe he has some inside knowledge. Sure would like to see Derek Piper ILL and Jerry Meyer NAT get on board.

I really like the fact TSJ is a senior. Coleman, TSJ and Lieb will be our only upperclassmen unless we get some others thru portal. I also like the fact that TSJ is very athletic. I loved Kofi/Trent/Alphonso/Jacob but only Kofi had off the scale athleticism. In Brad we trust !
Piper just had a baby, he's likely a bit preoccupied haha. Travis is a national guy though.

Here's what i can assure you...

IF Hawkins leaves when Nance comes, there will be another one come in to split time at the 4 and 5. One domino falls after another

Branham seems to be more plugged in than Meyer these days. I haven't looked at his recent predictions but I did a deep dive back when he predicted Boswell to Arizona. The only picks he had gotten "wrong" in the last 3 years were ones where he picked the original commitment correctly but the kid ended up decommitting and going elsewhere. So that accuracy should be closer to 100% on a pretty high volume of predictions.

Then shouldn't we take the degree and classes out of the equation? They haven't picked the college first for school in your scenario. They also failed in doing research on the coaching staff and their abilities to train and develop talent before they came to said campus. Aren't these teenagers who are choosing a school and not a job? Big difference...a coach is the teacher. My 6th grader shouldn't have all the same privileges as his instructors if he makes them look good, should he????

I’m sorry, but your take is old and outdated.

Your 6th grader isn't generating millions and millions of dollars for the school and its governing body by performing an activity that puts them at risk of bodily harm like an NCAA athlete is. Your 6th grader also has never been forbidden from earning money for his/her name, images, and likeness like NCAA athletes were until just recently. In fact, your 6th grader could go and be paid to film a commercial for Nerf and then turn right back around and play in their 6th grade basketball game with no ill effects, yet an NCAA athlete, until recently, could not do the same.

In short, your 6th grader had more rights than an NCAA athlete until the NIL change occurred.

I believe it was the Bacon Mega Cheeseburger.

Papa Dels is in their third location now. Murphy's is twice the size, having bought out something. Deluxe is bigger too. The whole trying to work your way through a crowd to get back to a table thing is gone. That was charming, wasn't it?
