ties will be resolved
"Coach Underwood and Coach Alexander came up with a very detailed plan for how to take my skillset and body to the next level," Perrin said via text. "They analyzed my film, figured out my strengths and weaknesses, and laid out a plan that made a lot of sense. They are a winning program, coming off back-to-back Big Ten championships. They are also a team that needed a rotation big, so there is a chance I can help them right away."

I like this kid.

Send it to Michigan, stat!

Our coaching staff is awesome.

Fantastic off season
-- Adding two top ten senior transfer portal starters from NCAA #3 seed Texas tech and #1 seed Baylor
-- Adding Top 30 freshman CG, and his 2024 CG brother
-- minimal transfer portal losses based on 2022 performance - Podz (barely played), Cuerbelo (injured most of season) , Grandison (already played 4 years, bad end of season injury)
-- Adding 6'11" freshman Perrin from Frances. Much higher rated than our past international recruits. Might even give us some emergency backup minutes at center

Brad and team must be one of the hardest and smartest working staffs in the B10. Nobody else in B10 is even close. Makes the Weber and Groce coaching staff look mid major in comparison.

Apart from Amani, who else are top priorities for the staff in 2023? I like Watson's game, but If they prefer Amani I'm good with that.

Perrin moves very well for a big man. Made some nice passes . One of the advantages of late growth spurt. He was not pigeonholed in to only playing the in paint.

I would have liked to see his outside jumper.

Amani & Gardner are the two that they are really pushing the gas on right now ... Chester has us sitting pretty for both

The class will likely be 2 HS prospects, maybe 3 if it's the right kid. The rest of our additions will be from the portal. Brad likes taking kids at semester, so don't be surprised if they are active come December - January and fill that last scholarship.

You never know who might leave in 2023 due to playing time

Omar Payne and Podz only stayed one year. BBV and Andre transferred after 2 years. Hutchinson really never played.

TSJ and Mayer are NBA bound
If Skyy has a good freshman year I bet he goes to NBA (ready or not)

My guess is this is the new every year norm
- bring in 3 transfer portal (Dain, TSJ, Matt)
- bring in 5 HS freshman (Skyy, Ty, Sencire, Jayden, Zacharie)

And Tim has James Brown on heavy rotation, amirite?

I ain't ever gotta worry about Tim ... If they running for Streets and Brad wants them ... Tim is gonna get them ... Just ask Izzo 🤷‍♂️

The blue bloods really don't scare me with Brown, the kid is just so close with Tim & Brad already.

But we all know that Brad doesn't talk to recruits so don't know why James told me that no HC talks to him more than Brad. Kid is a liar ... :ROFLMAO:

Normal, Illinois
Not sure he was ever a viable thing.
I don’t know how much buzz there has been around his recruitment lately since he’s taking his time with his decision, but I remember Illinois being considered an early favorite along with Kentucky. Guard/wing isn’t our biggest need in the future so O can see him not being as high on the priority list.

How good is Perrin? Is he ready for the NCAA on day one or more of a project big?
This is after watching a bit of tape today -- take it for what you will.

I suspect he will need a year of seasoning.
- He knows where the basket is. Most of the points seem to be at the rim. He had a big height advantage in most of the tape I saw.
- His stated goal is to become a good outside shooter.
- He moves okay.
- Fouls are an issue. He finishes many games w/4 fouls on ~28m of play.
- He brings the ball down low on rebounds (waist height).
- His "power dribble" is really loose. Turnovers waiting to happen in the Big10.
- He hesitates before most passes out of the post and telegraphs them. (turnover concern?)
- Fletch has some work to do. (He is 17, and grew 6" in the last few years.)

None of the tape showed him on defense. There was not enough tape to get a feel of how he moves on offense when he isn't the #1 target.
