Shot is still a bit too flat IMO, as evidenced by several shots clanking off the back rim.
I was about to comment with just the opposite. That’s the most arc I’ve seen on his shot in 3 years. Those first 8 shots almost looked “feathery soft”.

I do agree, however, that more arc will lead to a softer shot which will lead to greater success from 3.

I haven't had Pizza Hut in YEARS (I can't honestly remember), but Pizza Hut needs to be a BBall sponsor in some capacity. Soley based on BU remarks/comments last year. Even if the sponsorship is a limited-time thing.

Agreed, but I think it is really a season for figuring out what all we have with so many new faces. One could argue this may be the new norm, but a weak(er) schedule to figure out your rotations isn’t the end of the world. I would have also liked to see at least two of those games changed out for stronger competition, but we will have plenty solid games to test and prepare us for March.
To keep the computer ratings high they are going to have to crush the 280+ rated teams. Swapping a couple games for mid-level teams from a mid-major conference would help; like the A10, American Athletic or even the Colonial.

6-4

Be realistic!!!
Way too many new people trying to figure out how to play together.
The chemistry of this team will be in question all season long...
Count me as MAJORLY disappointed if this is the non con record before Braggin' Rights. If we can't beat Syracuse at home and win 1 of 3 of Baylor, UCLA, and TX I think it will be a letdown. Willing to be patient, but man, I'm hoping for 7-3 at the very least.

The more arc, the less angle into the rim, and the literally bigger the rim gets. Too much arc and you have to shoot the ball too much “further” which makes it more difficult. But generally a bit of arc is good IMO and it’s not about feathery touch.

Ehhh, Gonzaga makes a living in this level. Strangely overlooked. Argue all you want, but it really only depends how we look against top competition at the end of the year. Kenpom, net, etc, it's still subjective enough by the committee that the stats seem to fade away despite how much they get beaten to death.
