I was just looking some stuff up and I saw that our game against Lindenwood will be a Division 1 matchup. Lindenwood is transitioning to Division 1 in all sports and they joined the OVC on July 1, 2022. They will be only the 24th member to compete in all 18 championship sports that the OVC has in the 74 year history of the conference. I just thought it was pretty cool to see another local University here in the STL area moving up to Division 1. They should become a natural rival to SIU-E who also compete in the OVC.

1 Tidbit is that over the next 4 years they can win conference titles but will not be able to participate in any NCAA championships until the 4 year transition period ends.

I, for one, am glad there are only 2 games on BTN+. Let's hope soon that will be 0.
Thankfully I will be there in attendance and not have to play the sign up and cancel game this year....

They're actually one of 3 schools that joined the OVC this season. The other two are Arkansas-Little Rock and Southern Indiana though Lindenwood is the only football-playing member of those 3. USI is also doing a D-II to D-I transition. There's also some talk that UIndy is close to a D-II to D-I transition and will also join the OVC.

TSJ made Vitale’s 4th preseason All-American team:

From that list the obvious conclusion is that North Carolina is going to be pretty good again. A 1st, 2nd and 3rd team All-American candidate. I could see 2 of those guys ending up on the 1st team. And UCLA is going to be a really tough opponent to start the season. Jaquez is a stud. Scores in many ways. Nice to see an Illini show up on these lists for at least the 3rd year in a row! And nobody from Duke with 5 teams listed!!!
