I was just thinking it is surprising that they have not had a "stripe-out" announced for either Michigan State or Purdue. I don't love (or hate) that gimmick, but it still surprises me, lol.

We are talking about an outdoor event in Illinois in November here. The late season games get much less colorful as everyone just tries to stay warm the whole game

I think attendance is going to start climbing. People are jumping on the bandwagon. its a shame the Michigan game is on the road but anything is possible.

1999 Kittner and crew win 35-29. Beat the GOAT - Tom Brady- Illinois was down 27-7 with 6 minutes to go in Q3.

1993 Johnny Johnson / Simeon Rice leads 2nd half comeback in Ann Arbor 24-21

I was at both those games. It was fun to hear the Big House go silent except for the five Illini fans going crazy. I was also at the 1992 game (also in Ann Arbor) where Michigan kicked a field goal late to tie the game.

Wow, another great press conference by Coach. I noticed after the Nebraska game the players being interviewed sounded like Coach. They even broke down technical aspects of the game. That is impressive when Coach B is preaching-n- teaching, players literally repeat what he has said. Alot like muscle memory from drills, practice, and film. PLEASE Texas A&M Don't Fire Jimbo! My only concern, we cant.lose Coach B.. I L L

I hope but sometimes controversy brings a struggling team together. This team was highly rated before the season started. I doubt it but hope the Illini don't overlook MSU
No worries and it's not arrogance. Indiana is the team that has scored the most points on our Defense all year, 23. Let that sink in, Illini 4 TO's and a TD robbed from us. Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, etc. The analytics line up and have been repeated nearly every game. Defense Wins Titles. Keep adding to the Offense and Game on America.

Maybe the euphoria has clouded my judgement, but I think we’re going to win at Michigan this year.

I always park in the lot on the Northwest corner of Springfield and Goodwin. It's a long walk to the Stadium but you can take a nostalgic walk from the north end of campus to the stadium.
That’s what we do too. It’s 1.7 miles each way and there’s no pre or post game traffic whatsoever. Swing thru Campustown in one direction and down the Quad the other. Lots of parking options if you enjoy a walk.

I am getting ahead of myself. I would like Lunney to unleash the deep passing game against MSU.

Sooner or later somebody will get smart and put 8 guys in the box to stop our running game.

Lets do more play action and hit Bryant and Hightower deep. They have shown great speed and pass catching ability.

I wish Isiah success but until he cuts out the turnovers its hard to call his number.

Well considering attendance has been up each of the last 3 games, I’d say that’s a good bet.

And if you get lazy, there is a bus that runs from the garage at university and Goodwin down Goodwin to gregory (stops at the ceramics building just north of green) which then proceeds almost directly to the stadium (east side along 4th st). It's $2 with the return trip included

When Bielema was hired, I was cautiously optimistic. But in the back of my mind I was doubtful he could turn this program around given the complete hole it was in. In the second season, in what was expected to be a step BACK from last season, he has wildly exceeded any and all expectations I had. We are very fortunate to have him as a coach, connecting with our players the way he is. He comes across as absolutely genuine in his appreciation for the position he is in. Recruits and their families have to be taking notice of this. Again, we are very fortunate he is leading the program and has assembled the staff that he has; if we are able to hold on to him for several years we will be extremely happy with our program for many years to come!
