It will be interesting to see whether/how the Donda kids get through the NCAA Clearinghouse.

Penny has shown absolutely 0 ability to control kids with personalities/personas. Pair that with the idea that Mikey Williams is already a multi millionaire with a Puma shoe deal. Memphis is a Nike school. Interested to see how that shakes out. This isn’t Marcus Jordan and UCF. Williams actually has something to lose here.

Throw in the whole wrinkle of these Donda kids clearing the NCAA. And Mikey has played for 3 different schools now San Ysidro, Vertical Academy in North Carolina, Donda and now back to San Ysidro.

I’ll be shocked if this recruitment goes the distance and he actually plays a game for Memphis. Not bet the beach house. But more Clark Griswold sewing my head to the carpet.

I've been very interested in how NIL is going to play out in regard to shoe companies. Right now NIL deals, in general, can't go against school signed deals. I think deals like the PUMA one for Williams could be the death of that stipulation.

In pro track it's not unusual at all to see athletes wearing one brand of shoe and a different brand of uniform (when competing for their country). They most definately will not wear a shoe brand that does not feel right.

I always wondered what Illini golf did re: equipment when Nike still made clubs, balls etc.
