I am 3 sheets, so please disregard, but for all the RJ lovers and CH haters…. Can we admit that Shannon had a good game, and also that 5,7,5 is a pretty good stat line? Ok, I’m disappearing (until I’m banned again).

Where is Aretha....Illini get my respect and from a whole lot of others. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt...if they can learn the fundamentals of taking care of the basketball and keep the turnovers from 7-11, they beat #6 by 20.

My #1 priority is to get someone to work with Rogers, DD, and Harris on their FT shooting mechanics. It really is not at all .
difficult if they comply with science and physiology. None were on the floor at crunch time and they will soon be needed and simply must become dependable FT shooters.
Tip of the cap and deep admiration for TSJ for his hard work and leadership. Its been a long time since we have seen a Kenny Battle type effort like that.
Onward to fight the Cavaliers. I saw little of their game but I did see a guy doing TSJ things and the highlight reel. They are experienced, confidet, and BIG....and so are our Illini. Taking down #6 and #5 in two days is about as tough of a challenge as one could find at this point in the season....but getting the opportunity is rare....so there is not reason to leave anything in the tank.
And finally, what an effort by the Illini fans who showed up and provided energy for a wonderful experience. They were a big part of the win and deserved it.

This is what is so scary about this team, we have really talented players that aren't clicking yet. Plus freshman that will only improve. Brad Underwood is making a monster.
Maybe, but I thought we were favored in that game AND had a lot of experience. This was a team that really hasn’t played together and beat the #8 team that had played together in a Final Four.

Both of those took them completely out of their 2-man action they were killing us with. They basically had nothing else on offense.

Kenpom in early season is based a lot on preseason predictors. That gradually goes away as the season moves forward. There's just so little data to go on at this point in the season, so don't take it all that seriously right now when it comes to on-court results. I actually got to work with him a little on his prediction algorithm. Nice guy.
