Hawk with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. Yet, we all can pretty clearly see if he wanted to, he could and should have more points. Hope he's more aggressive this coming half.
Agreed, although sometimes it's an open 3 being taken instead of an open interior shot that makes it 'bad', I guess.

We're also sitting at 2 turnovers. Huge improvement over the last game.
It's crazy how Hawkins impacts the game so positively, yet he still looks like he could do so much more. I guess that's why he's on the NBA radar. He's got the potential.
I was thinking he looked on track for a triple dub tonight but holy schmack he's real close

TSJ is an enigma with his three pt. shooting as he gets too sloppy sometimes trying to relax, react, and let it fly. Arms, knees, and elbows going every which way. It amazes me that so many of today's great athletic players shoot a push shot with a 7 ft. release point and not a jumper with a 10 ft. release point.
But one huge plus for this team........TWO TURNOVERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've definitely been in the half-court offense a lot more than usual too. Cuse has generally done sold out on stopping the break instead of offensive rebounding. It's worked in that regard since our shooting % has been incredibly bad.

Very young team. It's one thing to tell them what Syracuse is going to do and how to break them down, but it's another thing to have them disciplined enough to put it to use in real time. It makes sense the three players who have looked most able to break down the zone are Mayer, CoHawk, and TSJ, our three most experienced players. Really impressed with CoHawk and Mayer thus far- the other players need to get on their wavelength in halfcourt offensive sets.
Back cutting against a zone, huh?
We have more blocks and altered shots than they do. Moot point.
