I wasn't following the game thread for this one, so I don't know what the vibe was as we were bricking shots early on, but I thought we played pretty darn incredibly in this game. The guys came to WORK tonight. We were moving the ball around and through the zone, and taking good shots. They just weren't going in. The effort and intensity was obviously there on the defensive end too.

Looks like no love lost between Brad and Boeheim in the handshake line. So glad the Illini shut that jerk up! :illinois: -L-L
I wouldn't want to shake his hand either

Only 7 turnovers is something we all like to see from the Illini.
21 assists on 24 made shots also is impressive (and maybe a little generous?).
Defense was great again.
Just needed shots to fall.
Still waiting for the Matt Mayer breakout game.

I wish I had the kind of platform to get Boeheim's attention, because I would have no second thoughts about rubbing this one in.

Say the Big Ten sucks, your player assaults another player on the court and you don't even discipline him, then you proceed to lose to a sucky Big Ten team by 29 points. *cringe*

Nice career, Jimbo. Maybe give it up.

Yup.
We won't be that cold that often this year. Not often.

The upside of this team is so high.
We're missing a key rotation piece, lost 86% of our scoring from last year, playing a style on both ends very distinct from last year, and still killing Cuse with their oddball zone on an astonishingly bad shooting night... And a short bench with Harris out most of the night.
