ha! yeah I have no idea, but CPatt was quite the father figure to the Trinity kids while he coached there so it would not be shocking to see them follow him. I hope they don't, but couldn't blame them in that situation.
Yeah, I mean all due respect to those kinds of bonds and relationships, and props to CPatt for being that man for those kids. But everyone has to grow up at some point. Isaiah Williams is going to be 21 next month. He's a grown a man. I'd like to think that he should feel comfortable parting ways with his coach if its his coach who is getting up and leaving,
if that is his prerogative. I have no idea how attached he is to Illinois, Champaign, his teammates, and the people who are here. If all he has is his coach then yeah it doesn't make sense to stay. But if not, then there's no reason why he has to give up on the legacy he has been building here just for Patterson. They are going to have to part ways at some point. Other than Lovie (LOL), no NFL coach is adding him to their staff next year.
I will respect his decision. But I just have to also believe we are giving him every reason to stay and finish what he has started. We'll see...
