So when we lost all of our assistants did the offense go too? This year looks like last year only worse because we lack leadership from Frazier, shooting from plummer, sheer determination and will from Damonte, and a monster in the middle from Kofi. Offense has clearly been degrading since our assistant coaching change.
So do we make a change there? Who runs the X's and O's of the offense? Their system isn't working.
We don’t have anyone on our roster that’s like right now. I can see Harris and maybe Epps as one but all the rest of them suck.

I need someone to tell me why Underwood’s teams at SF Austin were successful. DM if you want.

I have some good friends that are KSU guys and they were livid when KState hired Weber instead of Underwood. And they said we were the luckiest team in the world when we got Brad.

I totally bought in that the cupboard was empty when he got here. But man, without Ayo and/or Kofi, his teams here have looked pretty out of control, indisciplined, foul crazy etc.

Are the players not running the offense? Or is there a fundamental flaw in the design of the offense? Is there even an "offense"?
What we've been doing has been, Offensive.

Hot take: we replaced these guys, who brought in not just elite talent that fit our system, but talent who bought in to Brads way of coaching and hard nosed play, with someone (TA) who has brought in very high level talent, but talent that is here for very different reasons.

This is my least favorite Illini team ever. We've had some untalented teams, but at least they've gone out there and scrapped and fought. This is guys trying to show the NBA they can play, and a collection of guys standing around the 3pt line with one big problem, THEY CAN'T SHOOT!!

I stand by my comments in the game thread, at some point the head coach must be held accountable for what he allows to happen in the game. If the player(s) refuse to run the offense and just throw it up they must sit.

At this point I am all in on a starting lineup of Harris, Epps, Rodgers, Danjia and a walk on. We simply are not a team, where does that responsibly lie? BU needs to not just take responsibly in the post game, but as the game is progressing. 26 three point shots tonight and 5 free throws enough said?

I'm always positive about Illini mbb. But this team makes it hard to think we can do anything but go .400 in conference and win a game or two in the NIT. Zebras were questionable tonight, but the Illini are a bad team.

I love BU, tons, but he is failing. He MUST find a way to lead this team or find someone who can (maybe hand that part of coaching to C. Frazier??). He won't do it by getting in the face of every damn player as they come off rhe court. I teach and administer leadership for a huge organization. I am also a combat veteran of the USMC so I understand a myriad of different leadership approaches and styles but there does not seem to be an approach other than yelling and blame game on this team. If I am frustrated, I can't imagine how the coaches and team feel.

We can right the ship, but not the way we've been trying. I am not a basketball coach, he'll I wrestled in high school and passed on a scholly opportunity at Illinois to join the military. However, I can spot a disjointed bunch when I see them. This is one. Hope they turn it around.

This team is lost, offense is broken, leadership lacking, Bruce Weber saying be patient..... Nothing makes sense

Agree and we also lost dudes who could settle down players after a Brad tongue lashing

Do you really believe this falls on the assistants or does BU need to be held accountable for allowing the team not to run what we have designed?

It is either that or BU’s schemes are simply not good?

I've been an Illini fan for 35+ years. There's only one other Illini team in that team that I had struggles cheering for and that was the Jereme Richmond debacle of a team. This is horrid, stupid, sloppy, low IQ, god awful basketball we're playing. In high school I'd sometimes have to be the scoreboard operator for the freshman girl's B team games and watching those games was hell. This has been worse.

At this point just put in Harris, Epps, Dainja, and 2 other guys who want to play. I don't care if those 2 guys are in Orange Krush. Anyone. Because I can't watch this garbage. I'll gladly watch a team play every game and get blown out every effing game so long as they go out there and play hard and have pride in the jersey they're wearing. This, this I can't get behind. Infuriating.
