NFL level TEs are a different animal in my opinion. The two NFL level TEs Illinois faced last year in Iowa's LaPorta and Purdue's Durham went 9-101yds and 7-70yds respectively. I'm really not putting Sydney down- he had a great year and should have a long NFL career, but I think how he's utilized in the NFL will likely be different than he was in college. NFL receiving TEs with their size and speed are going to be a tough matchup in man for him in my opinion. But hey, I've been wrong many a time before, and I certainly hope he can be a dominant NFL safety, I just think his measurables will give teams a lot of pause to put him in man against top half TEs/WRs in the league.

Honestly asking....were all of those stats against Brown for the whole game though?

No, they weren't. I know Sydney got beat a few times by LaPorta, but LaPorta also torched everyone that game. I'd need to rewatch the Purdue game to see what our coverage scheme was on Durham, though I know his TDs that game came against non-Brown matchups. It should be noted that Durham is not fast, just a big body who can catch and runs decent routes so him and LaPorta are very different style players. I would be much more concerned about TEs capable of stretching the field like LaPorta than a slower big body TE like Durham for Brown matchups. Sydney has great instincts and a good first step, so it will be interesting to see how he does against NFL arms throwing to precise route-runners.

A lot of chatter on Stroud returning to Ohio State
The Bears would love that as once the Bears trade with Houston, Indy, LV and Carolina will overpay to move up to the 2nd spot. Levis will be fought for. The Bears pull two trades off and get a ton of picks and the guy they want, Carter, then they will have power to make trades to move up or down in the draft to get the guys they want

TDV drafted would be fantastic. I appreciate that he showed up in Tampa. He was at one of the meet and greet
events the night before the bowl game with his family. On a side note, i wonder if NIL money will ever be tied to
playing in a bowl. maybe bonus $ time or a restriction if you sign you play?? I would imagine guys in the first
round would still pass, but an extra 4 or 5 digit bonus check might lure kids to represent.

NIL is not pay to play.....You are only paying kids based off of their name, image, likeness....so doing ads, commercials, photoshoots, etc. It can't be tied into playing time or if they play.
