Would you waist a draft pick on him? Offensively not much confidence, and a turnover waiting to happen. Big fan of Hawkins but his head causes him issues.hey bro , you think cohawk might be coming back next year ??????......

I think the Illini would benefit immensely if he comes back for sure. I know he can be frustrating at times but he does things no one else on this team can.thanks bro......I value your opinion and a couple others here to even ask that question .....
I really think he would benefit immensely by coming back
Waist? Are you sure it would be a waist?Would you waist a draft pick on him? Offensively not much confidence, and a turnover waiting to happen. Big fan of Hawkins but his head causes him issues.
I thought the same as you. That said, I've also been engaging in some Pru-style HH festivities.Ahh, my reading comprehension skills are poor.
Some players do click. When players think about basketball the same way, notice the same things, they anticipate those cuts to happen. Add in a player that sees the same things and makes the cut and boom - instant chemistry.Yeah that's true when going to the bar on a Friday night. When it comes to knowing a teammate is going to see his defender playing tight, so he's going to cut backdoor, that takes time.
Hopefully this didn't age poorly.I expect Epps back at this point

I’d guess the way he’s being used and the minutes he’s being played are the reasons the chance he might stay has increased. Obviously if the feedback he gets during the draft process is positive, he’ll enter draft. But if not, the chance of him transferring has shrunk. I had a feeling going into the season, he was likely gone — whether through draft or transfer. The situation merely different now because his 110% confidence he'd be in that 1st round conversation hasn't panned out, or is there more to it than that (maybe wanting to go back closer to home, looking at $ overseas, etc etc)?
It seems that he and BU are meshing better this yearI’d guess the way he’s being used and the minutes he’s being played are the reasons the chance he might stay has increased. I am very interested to see and find out who these transfers will be. We do need more experience. TSJ and Meyer helped us this year. I wish we had added a transfer PG too and I expect we will for next season. This board is going to run with this, isn't there 3 freshmen? Harris, Epps, and Rodgers
I'm not hip on what you're saying.Would you waist a draft pick on him? Offensively not much confidence, and a turnover waiting to happen. Big fan of Hawkins but his head causes him issues.
Let me guess and JB moved up.?247 just updated their class of ‘24 rankings…. Morez fell to 61. I don’t get it
He fell also, but still ahead of Morez sitting at number 50Let me guess and JB moved up.?
Can someone just link to one of the other hundreds of pages going on about rankings not mattering and in Brad we trust to save us all time?247 just updated their class of ‘24 rankings…. Morez fell to 61. I don’t get it
It will be a perpetual conversation as long as there talk about recruiting. Can someone just link to one of the other hundreds of pages going on about rankings not mattering and in Brad we trust to save us all time?
That bodes well for our 2025 class lolLooks like Baylor is putting together a very nice 2024 class.
There might be an inside joke I'm missing, but I feel this is only true when you get into specifics - like getting Ayo ranked in the 20s vs. a kid ranked 9th. It probably won't matter at all, or it will at least be a case-by-case basis. On the other hand, the teams that win conference titles and go to the second weekend of the Tournament seem to get some top 50 guys. That appears to be the big cutoff. You only have to look at the list of all time Illinois recruits on 247 to see that rankings don't matter, or at least wrt those who commit to Illinois.
Did you miss the memo? Morez is out of the top 50 so we can stop referring to him as a “big time recruit” now. Absolutely comical as there is no way. Kids at 247 are (well, always have been) getting lazy with their research. On the Illini Inquirer postgame podcast from last night Piper teased an upcoming article and interview where Morez said that he's trying to convince another big time recruit to join him at Illinois. Any guesses who that could be?
