Our lineups with Harris-Rodgers-Hawkins have consistently been our best due to the defense and possessions gained and yet Brad never fully commits to it. Why not? Can any insiders explain? It’s ridiculous at this point and it’s already March
Cause there is very little offense with that lineup.

Penn state is old as hell. Coupled with the shooting they have it just makes it harder for a youthful team with a couple of mercenaries to defend due to the spacing they create.

I just wish these guys would start taking it to the hoop more and forcing teams to foul.

P.s. how many times are we going to encounter a stupid technical call that depletes our momentum.

The last 3 teams dominate B1G then fart and fall down in the NCAA.

So I guess this team farts and falls down in the B1G....and wins it all?

We are 100% going to the Sweet 16 now.

I wouldn’t say the effort wasn’t there tonight, because I think it was. We had a ton of momentum at one point, but couldn’t build much of a lead.

Once again, the same things plagued us. Lapses of time with bad shots and blown defense. Missed free throws and layups cost us points. MM didn’t have a good game, unfortunately. But ultimately, we just don’t know how to close out the last 8-10 minutes of close games. It takes a level of focus and discipline that we just don’t seem to have.

Seeding is one thing - we’ve definitely lost an opportunity there. But I wanted to win this one just to get some momentum and confidence going in March. And of close…not to lose to this dang Penn State team a 3rd time in one season 😔

It is time for the Dance and I have never felt so completely bewildered by a team. How can you go an entire season and never find a team chemistry that you can roll with for 40 minutes. PLEASE find a savvy point guard and 2 shooters in the portal ASAP.

I would spend all week planning for Kansas or Houston. The committee will make sure we are the 8/9 with one of them.

We aren't a very good team. That's all there is to it. We have talented INDIVIDUALS, but they never really came together as a TEAM. There is just something missing with this group. I have given up hope that they are suddenly going to go on a run in the tournament. At this point, I'll be thrilled if they can win a single game.

Penn St. is exactly what you want in a basketball team from an experience / leadership perspective and probably what Brad wants to build to by way of roster construction. Got a bunch of old dudes who know how to execute on both ends of the floor and play harder than their opponent. Outside of getting out-schemed 3x this season and really just being completely unable to stop Pickett, this team came out here and out-hustled and out-fought us on 3 separate occasions. They wanted to be here, and we showed we did not. “Every day guys.” I hope that’s what we get going forward, but it’s just been a disappointing team in the heart / fight / toughness department. I think back to a quote from Brad post-Mizzou: “This team doesn’t have my brand of toughness yet.” I don’t think they ever got it, and things aren’t going to change overnight. Hoping that we can keep recruiting dudes who never take a play off.

Not a loaded question.

Go back to last summer, knowing what you know now, and pick a trio to be on this team

Group a
Podz
Omar Payne
Jacob Grandison

Group B
TJ
Mayer
Skyy Clark

That said, we get a good draw and win a few in the tourney it changes everything.
