Yep. And I’d say the coach with the most pressure on him to win it all is Mark Few. If he can’t win it this year, I don’t think it’s ever going to happen

Tourney rewards teams with plus-level athleticism on the court in at least 2 positions at all times. It's the only way to compensate for an off shooting night, when the defense gets tight/mucks it up, or when you're opponent has a ton of length. You need guys who can make plays when everything has gone haywire because they can rely on being quicker, faster, stronger, higher jumper, etc. Those 5'8" guards are only getting it done because they also happen to be quicker and stronger than their opponents.

That also begs the question:

How did Bruce Weber go 6-12 in the Big 12 with 2 point guards as good as Nowell/Pack?

Well their loss is the Illini’s win. And the NCAA tournament’s gain with him getting Miami to E8 two years in a row.

Creighton was Preseason #9 and looked great in Maui. They had an bizarrely awful December.
