So... for kicks and giggles, I asked Chat GPT to "write a press release regarding Coleman Hawkins entering the transfer portal." Here's what it came up with:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Renowned Jazz Saxophonist Coleman Hawkins Enters Transfer Portal

New York, NY - The jazz community was rocked today by the news that legendary saxophonist Coleman Hawkins has entered the transfer portal. Hawkins, who has long been regarded as one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time, announced his decision to seek new opportunities in an emotional statement released earlier today.

"I want to thank all of my fans, friends, and colleagues for their support over the years," Hawkins said in the statement. "It's been an incredible journey, but I feel like it's time for me to explore new musical opportunities and challenge myself in new ways. I'm excited to see what the future holds."

Hawkins, who began his career in the 1920s and played with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, has been a fixture in the jazz world for decades. His unique style and innovative approach to improvisation have influenced countless musicians and helped to shape the course of jazz history.

While many in the jazz community were surprised by Hawkins' decision, his colleagues and friends expressed their support and admiration for the saxophonist.

"Coleman has always been a trailblazer, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in jazz and inspiring generations of musicians," said fellow saxophonist Sonny Rollins. "I know he'll continue to do great things, and I can't wait to see where his journey takes him next."

Hawkins' decision to enter the transfer portal has sparked speculation about where he might end up next. Some jazz insiders have speculated that he may be considering a move to a different record label, while others have suggested that he could be planning to collaborate with new musicians or explore different musical genres.

Regardless of where his journey takes him, there's no doubt that Hawkins' contributions to the world of jazz will continue to be felt for years to come.

Yeah, … what fluff. The undoing of AI (and maybe all of us) will be the lack of rigorous quality control applied to all the data upon which responses like the above rely.

Why apologize? I'm one who completely buys into the insider info. That said, if there was no second guessing, you wouldn't have anything posted on here outside of tuna fish and gifs. People that care about the program are going to have thoughts and worries. That's what fans do.
Don't forget cottage cheese, burgers and pizza.o yea and also growth plates and height with shoes and without lol

I've never blocked anyone on here but this comment may change that, Steve.

Malort tastes like grandma's perfume was filtered through a Chicago dumpster on Saturday night and collected in a dirty gym sock before being wrung out into a shot glass made of regret.

I'm not saying I never drink it. But I'm a chronic self-saboteur and would rather not be reminded of that while imbibing in some late afternoon Loyalty escapism.

To bring this back around to the proper topic, I've grown to detest this new era of recruiting, but as fluids go, recruiting tastes at least 100x better than Malort.
I was in Stockholm in February and ate at a "traditional" Swedish restaurant in Gamla Stan. They have a herring and aquavit pairing on the appetizer menu (3 of each). I was looking through the list of like 20 aquavits they had, and damn if they didn't have a couple that have the word Malort in the title. I asked the waitress about them and she said no one ever orders them because they're awful. I told her about the "Chicago Handshake" (shot of Malort and an d Style) and she laughed. I let her choose my 3 for me (an excellent pairing), and afterwards she brought out a bottle of one of the Malort style aquavits and we each had one on the house. Awful...but fun.

Tennessee freshman Julian Phillips in the portal. Former 5-star. Looks like he’s from Missouri (hopefully Miznoz doesn’t get him).

I do see that DePaul was the third school to offer him back when TA was there wonder if we have any sort of in there.

Phillips is from South Carolina … Just went to Link Academy in Missouri for HS …

As for where I think he ends up … NBA or …

Ha! I always thought the Chicago Handshake was a shot of Malort and an Old Style. Not D Style! 🐕 Your version sounds more fun!

Too many wings, Brad! We need a true big!
Pretty sure there are 300 other DI teams that can also express that need. A true big that can just be inserted into the lineup isn't going to happen. The fact that we're still searching for/waiting on a PG is far more concerning at this point. If you have an athletic, long team....you can overcome the lack of a true 5.

Sure, but there is no doubt in either public commentary or insider gossip that PG is our top priority. Which it should be. If not RayJ we will get someone in that role.

But BU seems to not think we need another real center, even in Hawkins' absence, and I just think he's wrong.

Coffee. Black. Either Stumptown or Blue Bottle. Accept no substitutes.
Jerry Seinfeld Seriously GIF
Both decent... But if local, Dark Matter, Intelligentsia, or Big Shoulders. Other 2 favorites are Brooklyn Coffee Roasters and Tony's Coffee from the Pacific NW.

We want a real good PG and RayJ looks like one. It makes senses in waiting for him. There's certainly risk here but I see nothing wrong in staff's strategy.
