If you're this uncertain (Hawkins), seems like you're better off just following your heart and staying in it. Unlikely Kofi, he does have an "NBA skillset" so I think he is definitely a guy that gets a G League spot with a decent chance at a Two-Way.

I think Coleman would be making a big mistake leaving. He's almost certainly gonna go un drafted and be on a two way. That will almost certainly be there next year. I don't really see any downside in him coming back unless he gets hurt.

What does? Getting an All American back? And a potential ‘24 lottery pick in CoHawk? And I’ll fight anyone on this. If Coleman can shoot 40% from 3 next year, him being a lottery pick may as well be a guaransheed.

Bruh. Coleman has never even shot above 30% from 3 for a season. He needs to get out of the 20s before were talking about above 40%.

Coleman took a lot of bad threes last year because we didn't have a point guard. If we grab a veteran PG, he should have a lot more catch and shoot threes.

I will have what you are smoking if you think Coleman Hawkins is a lottery pick next year.

The lottery goes down to 14 and the 2024 draft is weaker. What Coleman lacks in athleticism he makes up for in versatility. If CoHawk improves from 3, cuts down on the TOs, bulks up about 20-30lbs, I don’t see how he couldn’t sneak into the lottery.

And if Coleman does decide to leave for the draft, good for us and great for him.

Oh, no, how is it good for us if Hawkins leaves?!? Because the University of Illinois is producing pros again, which is pretty cool.

A lot of those bad 3’s were just poor decision making on his part. Yes a PG will help but it’s on him to know if any particular shot is in the flow of the offense/in rhythm. I bet his shooting percentage on legit quality shots he took last year was north of 30%.

He also voiced his annoyance many times at the players not running the offense they were supposed to be.

Perhaps with guys around him who do what they’re supposed to be doing, he’ll be less frustrated and not Jack up deep 3s

RayJ followed Grant Nelson, who reportedly has Baylor in his top four (along with iowa, yuck) today.

Hoping that’s a coincidence or they worked out together or something and not a sign that they’re both talking about Baylor the way we hope he’s discussing Illinois with TSJ/Coleman.

He also followed Caleb Love recently and isn’t Arizona-bound, so could absolutely be a coincidence.

He’s been working out with Caleb lately in Arizona …

One might think if Coleman goes pro … We just might be interested in one Grant Nelson … But what would I know … 🤷🏻‍♂️

At points last year(more than a few) he(CH) was boo'd at home and harassed on social media and even on this board. He took a lot of blame. I'm a huge fan of his given everything he was being asked to do. Other fans didn't see it that way. Putting money completely aside, would any of you forget that? If you were his parents, would any of you forget that?

That's where my concern, when it comes to this decision, comes in. Our insiders seem to be extremely confident, which makes me feel better because his role can't be duplicated by anyone else on the roster.

If he's worried about getting boo'd then he only has one option - he needs to pull out of the draft and go play at a school who doesn't care about big time college hoops.

It's reported his dad is encouraging him to come back, so I'd say his parents aren't too shaken by it.

I also agree with you that he was a centerpiece of this team. When he played well, we played well. When he didn't, we definitely struggled more.

Agree - his in game decision making could stand to improve. Yes a PG will help for catch and shoot and hopefully elevate 3 Pt % for almost everyone.
