At this point, is there really a point worrying about point guard play?

Insiders have said nothing about JQ so guessing there's not much there

If DGL and Ty are good at pg. great. If not, I feel really bad CHawk and TJ.
Seems like they were promised better point guard play to come back.

First!

With a point. I tend to dismiss the practice of reports of "he looks great!" Been burned by the Austin Hutcherson reports.
my only question about Rodgers practice reports is who is guarding him? In the clips I've seen it has often been Hansberry. Well sorry Amani, but I hope Rodgers can beat a true Fr. PF.

I hope the staff puts Sencire on him a lot and says, if you can get the job done against him, you can do it against anyone you'll run into during the season. Really the only guys we have in Champaign that can give him an idea of what he'll see are Sencire, Shannon, and DGL. I'd assume they want him building that rapport with Shannon offensively, so perhaps it is only Sencire and DGL. Anyone else is likely to be not as quick as who he can expect to see in a game.

Not so much the Hutcherson one for me. He appeared to be pretty good just couldn't stay healthy. The one that sticks out to me is the time we were going to be one of the fastest scoring teams in college. Brad said we were going to push the ball and be scoring at a high rate because of what we were doing in practice. What was probably really going on was lacking defense. When we got into the season we ended slowing it down and walking the ball up on occasion because we had no fast break capabilities.

Is Quinerly from Bama a potential option?
No insider has weighed in. My Bama friend said if y’all didn’t want Caleb Love then Quinerly isn’t gonna be the answer for our PG woes. I think we’d still love him but he’s gonna be a hard get. Likely knows exactly where he’s going.

Let’s be real, TJ and Hawkins coming back was in their best interests as well. There was no guarantee they were getting drafted. After seeing who went undrafted, I’m sure they accepted it as the best career move.
