Wisconsin fans: "You're only succeeding because of our coaches!"

Illinois fans: "The champagne tastes like champagne."

As the quote in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil goes after ne is called "nouveau riche" ... it's the "riche" that counts.

Oh don’t kid yourself … Josh deserves some major cred … Leonhard wasn’t free … But Josh has those relationships and Bret does as well … Boosters f’ing love him … Bret also delivers when he says he’s going to and makes an effort to create personal relationships … Most coaches don’t do that … Mr. Khan is a big Bielema fan …

Moves like this is the reason Bret is my favorite coach we’ve had here ever.

He’s out there swinging a sledgehammer at the rest of the conference and it’s friggin’ JULY.

There seems to be no “ehh what we got is good enough it’s fine” in him. He’s trying to improve the program every way he possibly can every day. That’s how you build something special.

i think he reports to the head coach on things he observes and it is relayed to the assistants as Brett sees it
necessary. Reinforces what is being done and makes suggestions. also, a big part would be scouting reports
of future opposition. this would be critical with his experience in the big ten and specifically in the west.

So is it accurate to describe him as an advisor to the coaching staff, aka the coach’s coach? Someone who has both the time and experience to critically examine the big picture when the coaches might get lost in the grass?

Maybe this is my naïveté, but what does a defensive analyst do? He’s not the coordinator, so what is their job specifically.
