Illinois 87, Valparaiso 64 Postgame

[Dan]

[The Galloping Ghost]

The highlight of the game was the Rev’s coaching. They came out ready to play. Hoping he resurrects Valpo and eventually gets the chance to come home.

NBD. Just another 23-pt win...

[JSpence]

I blame Coleman. For something.

[PrideOfGreenSt]

EZ clap… or not

[Emerson Bigguns]

I blame Coleman. For something.

We missed him early. We were pretty disconnected in the first half.

[Miles Leonard]

First half

Second half

[Illynois]

Brad giving Stafford his flowers in the handshake line and letting him know there's room for him next year

[Piotyr]

That was a solid last 15 minutes of basketball. It was a disappointing first 20 minutes.

Dain has not made a single FT on the season, that needs to improve.

[foby]

Blah, blah, blah

Hot take, hot take

BBIQ, Coleman, Underwood's coaching

[IllinistuckinGopherland]

“Their little guard had 25 at half”. Safe to say Brad was not terribly invested in the Valpo scouting report.

[Navy_illini]

The end result wasn’t bad. But 45 points in half and lack of effort

TSJ and Goode did a lot tonight

Dain needs to stop making mental mistakes last game an ill advised goaltend. This game a T. These things kill momentum

[BBlock24]

Never a doubt.

[Illiniam1984]

Well maybe we overreacted a bit in the first half… Still need to find an away to fix these slow starts.

[Mr. Roberts]

Well .. aside from Dainja, they were 67% from the line. That's something, I guess.

[hoopsfan47]

Most amazing stat of the game is that after 7 turns in the first half, the Illini kept it in single digits with only 2 in the second. But man does the team need some coaching on fundamentals that truly make a difference at the FT line.

Good time for the frosh and the upper-class guys led by Shannon.

Valpo got beat by the percentages and Illini depth which forced a ton of tough shots in the second half that were just too quick and difficult.

[dbeverly26]

Gonna say that we also need Ty Rodgers on the floor as much as possible.

We already know he's going to shoot more free throws this year, so it can't get worse!

[illinipimp]

Feel bad for all those who suffered cardiac arrest in the first half in what turned out to be a 23 point win. Condolences.

No PG!!!

11-13 against Marquette too. I think we’re a team with some really bad FT shooters and some decent ones. All depends on who takes them?

[Loyalillini10]

I blame Coleman. For something.

Genius.

[dbeverly26]

Pretty confident that he will.

No PG!!!

Oh my heaven's, how did I forget that one.
