We have to replace Johnny, Keith, daxon and Barnes this is a good start. Wouldn’t be surprised if Jacas bulks up and takes Keith’s spot.
How confident are we that Jacas is still in play for us next year? I know he was frustrated with the NIL issues earlier this season. Do the insiders know if he's fully committed to Illinois or if he's weighing options for next year?

So hard to tell nowadays with these kids ... I think he stays but I can not say for certain as he has some people fielding and listening to offers on his behalf and I am not even sure it is his doing but it is happening ... FSU made a decent offer ... Couple SEC schools as well ...

Gabe makes some pretty good coin here ... If he thinks there are greener pastures then good luck ...

What were the expectations of most fans? I never expect more than 6 or 7 wins. I hope for more but don’t expect more.
I don’t get where these high expectations come from. Have Illini fans not been watching the last 30 years?
I think the expectations this year came more from just how bad the Big Ten West was. Most reasonable fans knew we probably wouldn't be as good of team this year, but with our schedule and how freaking terrible our division was, the hope was to try to win the West once Newton/Randolph/IW/Adams/Pearl said they were returning.

It’s a good argument but football is probably the most unpredictable sport to gauge how a team will perform year to year based on the number of factors involved, no other sport requires 40 healthy players.

Some of these cornerback and IOL transfer/juco offers are not commit-able, right? Right??
