I think he performed a service on my car late this morning.
Only one disappointment for me in the first half. Shannon is 8 for 13 from the FT line due to much varied arc tonight which is an anomaly for him. Otherwise, this is a pretty good floor to set for this team and improve from there. Love seeing Amani get some tick and would love to see more...he will be needed soon....a confident Amani badly needed.
Teams with short guards have no chance against our defenseThere is one indisputable fact regarding Illini play to this point.
Every single one of us would have the Illini play this way every game....and Underwood is obviously a slow learner.
Outside of maybe a couple (Coleman step back three notably), they were open looks. I can't complain about our shot selection so far tonight.
For the most part, they have been good, open looks. With the exception of a couple forced stepbacks from Hawkins, I don't really have a problem with the threes they have taken.

Our defense has been outstanding. (Mizzou taking a ton of bad, deep threes and not hitting anything.)

That was one hell of a half of basketball. Keep it up another 10 minutes and let Amani and DGL close it out up 30. Just impressive stuff our team leaders making sure we come out with our hair on fire. Full team effort tonight. Dust them.

Not if we keep forcing them into a pace they aren't comfortable playing, then can't. We have kept a fast pace on offense and have kept them off balance and throwing up crap on defense.Couldn't have asked for a better first half.
