Brad seems alot more calm and comfortable with this team

I would imagine there are two reasons.
1. He really likes these kids on a personal level and has an old group he has been trying to assemble his whole career.
2. They are learning to play both the way he wants them to play together and they are elevating their skills and understanding of the game at a steady pace.
