Absolutely hated his body language. That being said, he could be one of the best scorers in college as an upperclassmen so his NIL potential is going to be insane. Still, I'm glad he moved on.
Omar Payne sighting yesterday in the Kansas-UCF game. He had a couple dunks in the 2nd half including a fast break dunk that definitely helped maintain momentum for UCF and a block in the 1st half on McCullar. It reminded me of a couple flashes that he would have from time to time in an Illini uniform. 4 pts, 3 rebs, 1 block in reserve duty. He seems to be playing a very similar role as he did when he was with Illinois and Florida.
Yes, he averaged 10 MPG in 6 games from January 29th to February 19th, then he got sick and was out. Played 20 minutes and really well against Houston in the NCAA Tournament and the hype train went overboard heading into his Sophomore year.
I will say I thought he really looked the part as a freshman. He just didn't seem to improve much in any facet.
RJ is 9-52 or 17.3% from 3 so far this season.
Like the kid, but nothing has changed. Horrendous shooter. Should just concentrate on slashing through the lane, mid jumpers and strong defense. He does the team no good in sitting in the corner waiting for a 3 point attempt. If I’m the other team, let him take those shots uncontested.
They've been a lot better since he's been allowed to play.
RJ with 11 pts and 4 rebounds at the half against Tennessee. Good for him - he had been struggling to get the ball in the hoop for a while. Was hoping to see him get his mojo back a little sooner.
