Coleman spends the week trolling and enjoying the limelight. Maybe keep your mouth shut, get your head straight, and focus on actually winning. It's a mental thing. I like Underwood as our coach but I think we can expect a lot of full court pressure in any tournament play; why do we still look like we're not prepared for that? Hats off to Penn State. Fun game to watch, but Illinois... that's embarrassing.

This game was lost on the plane ride home from MD. Hope the team learns from it.

What’s heartbreaking for me after tonight is that, hey … we might play great and win our First Round game! We might even catch lightning in a bottle and win our Second Round game!! However, I’m now just simply convinced it will run out … we’ll self correct eventually. :(
Ouch great take sir this team is what it is. We knew coming in we didn't have a PG I was never convinced Ty could do it. Domask either we just simply don't have a great ball handler on this roster. Its biting our butt now in the worst way and it will eventually cost us in March.

Going to have to eat crow and admit that we are softer than baby poo.

If Zach Hamer really is responsible for the changes to our defense, whatever they are....fire this bum into the sun.

Remind me again why we're wasting a ASSITANT coaching spot on a glorified waterboy whose only experience is under has -beens like Stallings and Bryce Drew and washing Lebron's jockstrap while making scouting videos for WNBA teams?

Then you need to articulate why the Big Ten wants PSU (who isn’t even close to the Bubble) to upset one of two ranked Big Ten teams. It benefits nobody who’d be crooked enough to order it unless you just chalk it up to a specifically anti-Illini conspiracy.
Refs were enjoying hearing the home crowd cheer

I only live 30 minutes from the Final 4 venue this year. I am sure glad I didn't drop $5K to $7K per person for tickets to watch Illini play here. I did go to the Final four in Seattle and St. Louis, but this team just is not consistent enough for me to risk the money,

Yes! We got the ball to the right person. He made the play he needed to. If the foul is called and makes the free throws were up 6. Yes we let them have too many easy baskets, yes we missed free throws, but that foul has to be called or you don't call the foul on the three at the end. Shot was gone and Coleman barely touched him (it was a foul BTW).
If Hawkins makes free throws, it's over. If Hawkins shows up at all tonight, it's over. If ANYONE played defense, it's over.

We let up 90 to one of the worst offenses the college game has to offer. That's impossible to even comprehend. Repeatedly getting beat to rim and watch layup, after layup after layup go down is impossible to comprehend.

This was a lack of focus from the top. We went up 14, then the layups started.

No one call cost us this game. A senior laden team needs to own this. The second best player on our roster needs to.own this.

Pointing at the refs and letting this team off the hook isn't ok.

nobody talking about how awful the refs were
Refs were somewhat consistent in what they called the whole game. They did swallow the whistle on their press

I think another blown calls was the goal tend review.

Things I put ahead of the refs
1. Poor free throw shooting TSJ was around 68 percent. Hawkins 2 big misses.

2. How many bad turnovers did we have. 18 total

3. We don’t understand time and possession. We took a quick 3 with about 2 minutes left when we had about 20 seconds left on the shot clock.

4. How many east layups did they have on outbound plays. I think it was 6-8 points lost count

Change those 4 things we win by 15 all 4 go against us and some calls go their way you lose.

Giving up however many points in the last four minutes to lose 90-89 is no better than losing 38-33. One was a game with no offense and the other is a game with no defense.

That game was the nadir of the Bruce Weber era. What will this game be for Brad Underwood?
