@Indy Illini Fan, seriously, what person can be confident concerning anything with the NCAA? Lawyers definitely make the NCAA cower a bit from their brazen stupidity, but I hold no confidence in anything they do. FWIW…..I hope that he is right.

To be fair, insiders were ***very*** confident about seeing TSJ back on the court sooner rather than later after the charges were pressed. At this point, they should receive more than a benefit of a doubt

While I would’ve full heartedly agreed with you prior to this season, the NCAA has been crushed by the legal system this year with albeit not exact cases but somewhat similar eligibility issues.

Not trying it’s a foregone conclusion he gets it, I think the chances are slim, but they are much larger than they would’ve been 12 months ago.
Well whether he tries to sue is a different question than whether the NCAA gives him the waiver in the first instance.

The NCAA has been clear enough in its view on this. The legal system who knows.

Love a Gritty Guarantee™. Just gonna save this for later.

I mean honestly, what do you want me to say?

The stuff in that JeffJ tweet is factually inaccurate. Maybe I should just keep the color commentary from there to myself.

Trust me, I have no issue with you pointing out flaws and I do absolutely appreciate what you bring to the board. I too am somewhat skeptical Marcus will be back. I just find it hilarious when you guarantee things because it's more like...

I would think the opposite. TJ and Domask were a devastating combination. Very few teams with the defensive horses to take both of them away. AJ would step into a ready made situation with his similar play style to TJ

No idea how this plays out and don’t even have an opinion on the situation. Fact is, however, that JeffJ is correct. Jeff never one to publish speculation and as we all know, his ties run deep. FWIW, my gf is one of the 3 clerks for the lawyers handling the the initial case intake. So to that end, JeffJ is correct.

The numbers don't seem to support this statement. They played only 26 games and 2 of those were the conference tournament. I have a hard time believing that a MV school in 2020 had only 26 games on their regular season schedule, 29 would be more believable.

Another factor: How long it takes the judge to issue a summary judgement may factor into other portal decisions…
