It's just playing Boswell means you lose the size advantage that you get when you have a rare 6'5 pg at the college level. And Kasparis is an actual PG too not the hybrid Domask played last year.

I'm not saying Boswell isnt going to be good or get minutes. Just that a lineup of all 6'5+ guys really puts a ton of pressure on opposing defenses to matchup and creates mismatches.

For example let's say the Illini are playing Purdue. If they play a lineup of Kasparis, Riley, Ty/Tre, Hum, and Ivisic/Morez. You force Smith into a matchup where he's giving up 5+ inches to anyone he's guarding. Who does Fletcher Loyer guard? He's likely getting cooked by Kasparis or Riley and there is no way Loyer is boxing out Ty.

Well...with that you're losing out on some of Boswell's qualities: experience, shooting, etc.

On a team so deep, so talented, so versatile, and when so many different things can be done...the lineup that goes best with each situation will be used. There isn't necessarily one lineup to point to.

Ben H might be out there playing small ball five at times.

This team isn't limited to one way of playing or one lineup. The situation will dictate the lineup and the lineup that fits the situation best will be the one used.

He left BYU and they have gotten far better at recruiting.

It's too early to really say if he will be good at Kentucky and he has a ton of resources but that's not a good sign.

Oh, I hate how the current system heavily incentivizes (or even requires) such a business-like approach to recruiting. But it's how the game is played and I want to win, so I am fine with us doing it until something changes to fix the problem.
