Committee bounces Alabama but gives TX and GA as good of a path as possible.

Indiana vs Notre Damn. I like that match up. Battle for the state bragging rights.

Some how, Oregon has the hardest path lol. 😂

Love the team of 12. Now let's get to the Citrus talk so I can open my Cheez-Its!! I want BAMA!!

Despite his obvious and understandable bias toward the SEC, Nick Saban made one really good point when he said strength of schedule should have been given more weight in the weeks leading up to the conference title games
If Alabama had been rated higher than SMU, SMU would have had more, not less, incentive to play in the title game.

The automatic byes are so bad - messed up the entire bracket. Penn state was right in losing last night

Except they have to play an extra game, that's always going to be the worse option. The way it should be is that they should reseed after the first round or the conference champions get an automatic bid but not an automatic bye. Either option would make it work.

They need to do it NHL style brackets. Where the top seed gets the lowest seeded team remaining each round. The set brackets with the auto seed, along with the top seeded at large team put in an automatic matchup with the 1 seed if they win, is just doing 1 seeds dirty. They could also do it tourney style where they get the 8/9 winner, but I like the reseed approach far better for a 12 team bracket where the regular season is so important

I don’t understand why they don’t reseed. If you want the regular season to have more impact the best team should have the easiest path.

Yeah fair point - agree both options make a lot more sense then current state

Sounds like I’m in the minority but I hate reseeding. Set the tournament and then play the path in front of you. Much prefer automatic bids but not automatic byes. Would accomplish the same thing as you’d have BSU and ASU playing week 1.

Different sport and field size but I love the Cinderella runs in March (excluding Loyola) and those would go away with reseeding.

Yeah, Alabama should have just beaten either Vanderbilt and Oklahoma. It was their own doing. Those are worse losses than any other team in the playoff including Clemson.

Any chance Alabama declines their bowl bid? I feel like they don’t have much to gain by beating us, and a lot to lose (at least in the eyes of their fans)
Are you serious? Going to be a beat down as this will be their I told you so game.

And spare me the sit out argument, we have them too and the Bama second string is still an imposing group.
