Win this & we should be pretty happy with where things are at by Christmas
Exactly. The team would be right on schedule with realistic goals when the season started. Obviously, we are disappointed to let two great quad one opportunities get away (one quad 1a), but the team is looking better than I expected at this point. Get to 9-3, and we should be happy. It sets the team up for a good 2025, when the team should be getting better. The talent is there, but the execution down the stretch is lagging. Come March, this team is going to be very dangerous with this added experience.

IMO, this is not a "Must Win". We're a solid NCAA tourney team, no doubt!

But, a loss could effect the mentality of this team. You don't want to learn how to lose.

We've leveled up over the past couple years with Underwood and better players.
We are (along with Purdue) the teams to beat in the B10, above MSU, MU, OSU, IU, .....

Semester finals are this week. As long as I can remember, there haven't been games during the Monday-Friday period of semester finals. Also, there are some finals on Saturday (I took one on a Saturday morning many years ago - didn't make that Friday night very fun).

Not sure why there was such a long break prior to the Northwestern game, however.

Win these next two games, and it's basically an 8 - 2 non-conference record with Duke still remaining. Positive side: before the start of the season, I'd take it.

One game at a time, though. Let's pound Missouri.
