is the NCAA pro-active about anything anymore ?
or is their whole MO to just govern reactively and let the courts set the agenda ?
I think the NCAA has thrown up their hands and abdicated all oversight responsibility to the courts. Their main role now seems to be as a clearinghouse to take the latest court decisions and roll them out to the rest of the teams. That, and to hold tournaments.

Dare to dream....Get Luke and JC back, get Feagin and Rusk healthy, add one more impact WR in the portal.....would be one of the top offenses in the conference/country

Te- Arkin
Lt- Davis
Lg - Gesky/ transfer/ Schuster
C - Kruetz/
Rg- Henderson/ Crisler /Hansen
Rt - Priestly
Te- Rusk
Qb- Altmyer
Rb- Faegin, McCray, Laughery, Valentine
Wr - Elzy, Dixon, Beaty, Bowick, Hollins

That’s a very good offense and I could still see them adding at te and wr.

What's the program record for penalty yards? Priestly would have a great shot at that.

When revenue sharing starts and the players are directly paid by the school, will those salaries be published officially? Some of the numbers from NIL I think are bs

Is there really some Duke booster that wants to pay a Tulane QB more than what the NFL would pay? What return is the booster getting from investing this money in this QB?

Jimbo Fisher just got a check for $70 million from TAMU to stop working. Return on investment is not a thing. Even if we want to act like it is, a really good P4 QB is worth more than $4 million/year.

TAMU can pay that because they are getting TV money that allows them to still turn a profit. It’s still a business for them even given what a coach costs.

But with NIL, it’s still rogue donors deciding to pay a player 4 million. These are essentially fans paying players. Where is the return? That’s why I think the numbers quoted are mostly BS.

This could be a deal where they get 500,000, and then a 3.5 bonus if Duke goes undefeated and this QB wins the Heisman. Incentives that will likely never be hit.

How do we do it with Altmyer...?
