Illinois 109, Oregon 77 Postgame

[ginabackes00]

So much to love about this game and team. Will they be able to handle their business after a huge win like this? We definitely have the right pieces for a deep run.

[JSpence]

I love, LOVE that point where we get up so far on the other team that people start mix up numbers. The radio got it wrong a couple of times, too. THAT is winning.

Thought I was going to struggle to stay awake for this one. Turns out I'm going to struggle to fall asleep now

I stayed up later for this one than I did for New Year's, I'm happy I did; just incredible.

[SescIllini]

Who had a 42 point beatdown on their radar today, even after that sluggish start? This looked sort of like what UConn did to us in the Elite 8, except Oregon still hit tough shots.

We won by 32, but I'm sure it felt like 42 to the Ducks

Most points in regulation against a Big 10 opponent since 1990.

Tre MF’n White… EVERY DAY F*CKING GUY

He’s settled in … Same thing with Kylan …

And I really hope Ben found his groove tonight …

Sometimes it takes transfers a little longer … I remember it took Plummer some time … Domask didn’t get off to an amazing start but after Christmas … He really started cooking …

[FreshlySqueezed]

I said this in the game thread, but our leading scorer was Tre White with the quietest 20 point game I can remember.

He was also our leading rebounder with 11.

[ILLFAN67]

Who saw that coming? Wow! That is a remarkable beat down on the road. I don’t think in all of my years watching Illini games have I seen a complete destruction of a good team on the road like that.

[FantaIllini]

I don’t think I’ve felt this good about the future of Illinois sports since I’ve been alive

[Illini in Italy]

I am just so . . .

Dre set the tone....great leadership off the bench. Championship teams have selfless players, and ours is DGL!

How hard is Phil Knight crying into his Nikes right now?

Been a rough couple of days to be a Ducks fan …

[Zorak]

The Illini heard your complaints about the late tip time and ended this game early in the second half as a little treat.

[LJ22]

Did not expect this outcome four minutes into the game.

Happy to be wrong.

This is why you don't give up on guys like Ben. He has the ability to take us from good to UNSTOPPABLE.

This game kind of reminds me of the Gonzaga game in '04. We went away from home and absolutely dominated an AP darling to announce that yeah... we're legit.

Don't look back.

Cooked duck is pretty tasty…

BBQ C̶h̶i̶c̶k̶e̶n̶ Duck

[Oranges]

ILL, what a game. Are we sure we didn’t play Chicago St twice??

[Gordon Shumway]

Don’t get too excited everyone. There will always be the inevitable 64-59 loss to Penn State soon enough!

That's a ban-worthy post

[FreshlySqueezed]

This win was the biggest road win against an AP top 10 team ever.
