My best guess is that UW will play a similar style to NW. My worst nightmare is they will play an effective booty ball game like PSU did a couple of seasons ago. Regardless, efficient use of every possession will be tantamount to victory. Can't lose the turnover battle, hit free throws, take open shots or get the ball safely to someone else, and defend like the game is tied with 10 seconds to go. But do it all with joy and trust your teammates...they are all pretty good and getting better.

This will be an entirely different journey than the Oregon game....with the same outcome hopefully.

H3ll$ to the yeah! Just scored a ticket to the game. Taking a bus from Portland that goes right into UW campus. So easy.

Just felt I wanted to see the team while they were out this way.

Sidebar question: anybody know if we’d be allowed to take serious camera gear into the stadium? I’d love to take and post pics when I can but not sure what kind of equipment they’d allow. They probably won’t allow my 200-600mm lens but I wonder if I could get away with something slightly more discreet on my camera…

This game will be a lot slower and a lot closer. We typically let the other team dictate pace, and they play super slow. Going to need to hit 3's in our half court sets.

We are ranked in the top 10 in all the formats except AP. I remember Loren Tate talking about his vote during the years he had an AP vote. He said he was just guessing because he hadn't seen so many of the teams play,

If you look at what the NFL did for kickoffs for example or for lengthening the extra point, it shows that pretty novel and different approaches can be adopted. I'm not sure the free throw hasn't outlived its usefulness and I don't think most fans would complain if it was eliminated from the game entirely.

When I record games and watch later, I always fast forward through free-throws. I would be totally okay with free-throws being downgraded as a part of the game.

I ran a tournament last year locally for adults. We did the Elam ending. It was fun.

This^ If you cannot get a clean rebound and outlet, it's hard to run. Against Mizzou, the Illini had a hard time getting clean rebounds. Not so much against Oregon. I also like that when the Illini broke Oregon's pressure, they didn't wait to set up in the halfcourt. They attacked.
