This feels like we’re coasting while giving maybe 75% effort at best.
My critiques are coming from an angle that the Illini are Elite.
Ivisic can hit the three and rebound well at times, but he is soft. He needs to get tougher on those 1-foot shots to the basket.
Fake a three and drive to the basket--don't be content on shooting three-pointers. Guard against the 3!!
Washington has good hands with all these tips and deflections.
In the end, an eleven-point lead is acceptable, but it could have been up to twenty.

Yes, first 4 fouls were on Boswell and DGL. KJ picked up the 5th. Put us in a weird spot
Yeah, but he’s mentioned other team more that 3 times in a half. That equals pro-UW.
Him taking more time to put it all together could be a really good thing for next year — gives me hope that we may have a great team and only lose KJ.
Played for UCLA, pretty much a PAC 12 guy.

They are very much coming off as really wanting Washington to make this a game but nothing as egregious as an ESPN game. Can definitely tell he came over from PAC broadcasts
Really liked the continuity in effort and energy from Thur. Teams never shoot it like that two games in a row, but bringing energy, focus, and caring has to be consistent at a high level. I am seeing that and it is all I want to see. If it is consistent, the skill level of these kids will shine through.
Only thing I can fault is the consistency of turnovers...a very bad thing. That can improve and must. Also, I would love to see BAM or DGL get in Davis' pants and keep him scoreless (this is where we miss Ty or Harris). That can be done and must be done. He is shooting free throws from the arc and must be kept to zero attempts in second half...or at worst zero makes.

Overall, it was a good half. Up 11 I'll take it even though we should be up 20. Defense played well minus the moments where there were lapses with us not sticking on DJ Davis. He went off as a result of that and it's why Washington was able to trim down the lead a bit. I would like to see Boswell be put on Davis in the second half. We held Osobor scoreless so that was good. Tomi continues to rebound so well but he got to make those put in at the rim! Can't be 7'1'' and miss those.

How many post moves has Tomi hit this season? How confident are you when he shoots it in the post? Of course I'm being hyperbolic and dramatic (because I was annoyed in the moment). But you can't tell me he's good in the post?
