Illinois 81, Washington 77 Postgame

[New Creation]

[Oldskoolkoach]

We tried to give it away. Win and move on

[MoCoMdIllini]

Northwestern, but we won.

A win is a win.

I came in here to say pretty much this.

This time, we held them off.

[SuperMetroid]

It’s a W

[JFGsCoffeeMug]

On the plus side, we played well enough as a team to overcome the best game of Davis' life.

[Fly Illini Fly!]

Whatever... good to know we have the poise to win close. Was an absolute lid on the rim on one end... and just on fire at the other for #4.

[ILLFAN67]

A win is a win! I’ll take 2-0 On the West Coast swing! That’s big!

[NASchamp]

Goodness. I thought we had learned how to step on an opponents throat. This was way too stressful.

But glad we showed the poise to pull this one out. A loss would have been very demoralizing after being up so much the whole game.

[Chad Fleck]

Hard nosed win on long distance, multi-stop road trip.

I'm not mad.

[Bleedorangeandblue44]

Tre White saved the day with that strip. Then dove on the loose ball. Just one of a ton of great plays he made.

[Rich]

[Second place is 1st loser]

Some of you need to chill the heck out. Nice W.

[illiniguy24]

It was ugly but that’s another big win and will be a nice one on the resume by the end of the season I think.

Survived ice cold shooting, career night from opposing player and another inbound blunder

ILL

[Illinifan11]

Wasn’t able to watch. How’d it go besides the win part

[cam97]

Ok now that I'm sweating bullets it's time to go shovel snow

[BashCtIllini]

Champions of the west

[blackdog]

Almost had a NW redo, but we pulled it out. Brutal out-of-bounds pass, but we make up for it with a strip. And then we hit our free throws when it mattered most. Road games after huge victories are hard. I’ll take it.

There would have endless screaming for a week about of out of bounds plays if they had ended up losing the game

[Govoner Vaugn Fan]

Games like this are more exciting... but gotta admit I enjoyed the Oregon game a little more.

[JSpence]

We tried to give it away. Win and move on

Yuck. Seriously, don't stop playing. Don't stop coaching.

Wtf was even the idea there? Trying to slip down and shoot our way out of a bonus? All basketball words, but nonsense.

[SummerofGeorge]

I may be in the minority here but I absolutely loved what I saw today. Some amongst our fan base think every game should turn out like the Oregon game. I saw perseverance, composure, and resiliency today on the second game of a west coast road trip. Sooo many Illini teams in the past would have folded in this situation.

[BigE]

Rough game for Boswell but he came through clutch the last few minutes to help close out the game!

[DeeIL89]

A win is a win especially in a west coast sweep and we improve to 3-1 in the Big Ten. Learn from the mistakes that were made in this game practice on it and improve on it and on to the next.

[Combo]

Doesn't matter how ugly it was you will always take a B1G road win.

Also guys showing we can win games when the shots don't go in

Exactly. No road game in the Big 10 is a gimme.
