Our gals currently have 6 of the top jumps in the NCAA:
and 8 of the top 14 in the B10 (including the top 5):

and though I don't have a link, Humphrey and Beckmon have the top two jumps in the world this season.
These results come with some caveats. First, the season is very young, and there haven't been that many meets yet so competition for the top spots is going to intensify. All of our jumps came on the home track, which is an advantage. Not all of our girls will be long jumping at bigger meets. Kienast, Wullschleger and Driscoll are pentathletes and won't likely compete in the individual long jump when they are competing in the multievent. Sopova competes in both the long and the triple jump so she will spend energy on both events in some meets. Smalls competes in the long jump, triple jump and high jump so, again, won't always focus on only the long jump. That being said, we should certainly dominate this event in the B10 conference meet and also do well at NCAAs.
Last year, the winning jump at the B10 indoor meet was by Celine Brown of Rutgers at 20'10.75". Ndudi, Sopova, Beckmon and Humphrey all finished behind her last year, but still in the top 8. On Saturday, Humphrey, Sopova, Beckmon, Smalls and Ndudi all topped that mark.
