Just what I expected, gonna have to strap it on to win this one!

Moved the ball really well for the first 10 minutes then everything stagnated.

Boswell had an atrocious half on both ends. White has been invisible.

Would like to see the Illini come out big in the 2nd half to try to punish MSU for playing so many small guards(KJ, White, Riley, Hummer, and Tomi/Morez). Would bring in DGL before Boswell.

We are not shooting well at all 38.5% in FG's and 25% from 3, hope KJ can get it going in the 2nd half

Haven't read this thread, I'm sure everyone is as ticked off about the non-calls on our end. Pretty blatant in my opinion. I hope KJ catches fire in the 2nd half and Riley keeps cooking. Need another player to get hot also just in case the foul discrepancies continue.

Tie game at half with 2 points combined between KB, TW, and KJ? I’ll take that on the road against a 15-2 MSU team. Going to take a great team effort in 2nd half to pull this out.

Does anyone have a clip of that halftime breakdown of Will? It was hilarious

Love our effort so far. Sure hope the refs don't continue to put their massive, beefy thumbs on the scale the second half, by calling touch fouls on KJ and others while ignoring absolute repeated muggings by MSU. KJ with a fresh set of legs is absolutely a huge advantage for us going into crunch time. On a side note, Izzo is probably busy now getting a fresh binkie, rattle, and diaper change.

MSU got very physical and grabby the last 8 minutes. Took Riley away doing this. Also hanging on Dre, Tre, and Ben. In other words, typical MSU defense. That's when Boswell tried to take over. Oof.

MSU struggles to score without a fast break or a foul call. We did good on the break. Losing the FT line 14 attempts to 5.

Need KJ in the game. Cannot pick up a quick one - play smart on D. Have to play through the physical perimeter D. Feel free to embellish a little on the holds and pushes.

The score is going to be tight all game, I think.

OK, people who know what they're talking about about.... when we're defending these drives by Fears et al. can we not go after what I'll call the direct shot path to the hoop and waIt for the second, double clutch shot that comes when the shooter is on the way down? That's where the release has been on every(?) one of their shots on drives to the rim. Just hands up deterring that first, direct shot path.
(I suppose that doesn't makes sense.)

Based on today’s comments the demographics on this thread. 33% all star players, 33% championship caliber coaches, 33% elite officials and 1% former sports announcers. Fortunately 100% Illini fans!

The big question will be who's can execute their style the best. Illini need to shoot better and Sparty must limit that advantage and get theirs at the rim. Our guys need to finish around the rim better if they are going to win. Let's see what effect KJ can have on the game. Nice to be able to add him to the pot...a likely B1G POY. Look for Sparty to drive on him and jump into him right away.
