Can anyone just take a win? Anyone? This drives me up a wall.that every single win has to be a 39 point win on the road against Oregon or they should be embarrassed? Other teams play well, too. We don't always play optimally in stretches. But we won this game and they never got that close. Take a breath, please.

And I watched the game.

Our guys played very hard and were focused from the tip-off. We lost that focus and effort down the stretch, but I'm focused mostly on the fine start to the game as a big improvement.

In contrast, Northwestern just looked like they weren't ready when the game started. Wierd game to watch: one team playing HARD, the other kinda sleepwalking. (And I think it was BOTH of those things going on at once.)

I told myself to be very patient with this team and wait until January to start reaching any conclusions. Time’s up and my conclusion is that we have no “special” on a consistent basis and we have quite a bit of non-special fairly regularly. Not a good recipe
You don't take into account injuries and illnesses by 18-21 year old athletes in college? @Dan where the hell is that thumbs down button?

They won and he has something to rip into them about. Would you rather have this outcome or the feel good loss "because we were cheated" at MSU?

Favored by 7.5, won by 9.....Vegas was right.
How many people would have been pissed on the betting line if Barry had picked up the ball and scored after KJ just laid it down? Illini would not have covered.

Reminder that efficiency metrics can be used by the committee now. Giving up 53 points on 60% shooting in a half literally does matter.
True but even with that second half we moved from 12 to 10 in kenpom and have the 12th ranked defense. Last years team finished 10 (but 80th defense, thank god for TSJ and Domask on O last year ha)

It’ll matter in March when it’s a 5 point game, not when you’re up 20.

Last years game at Penn State was much more concerning than this and we know how that team turned out in March.
I’m tickled sh*tless we played better and got the victory…and things are trending up…Also…I swear to god I’m not trying to pick a fight here…You are obviously entitled to your opinion. But, I think you and I might just have to agree to disagree on this.

Sports are one of the most important, non important things…and yes it’s considered a game. But if it didn’t matter no one would play…fans wouldn’t be on here yelling at clouds…and players and coaches wouldn’t make ridiculous, obnoxious salaries. It all matters…every damn second of it.

1.) Teams come back from 20 point deficits all the time and win. Brad says he doesn’t want these guys taking their foot off the gas.

2.) Coaches for example…are looking for coachable moments regardless of the score…and rightly so.

3.)Thanks to the advent of Torvik and Kenpomp and the like…analytically it all matters now.

4.) This year is this year…and last year was last year. A completely new team. A completely new animal…a completely different set of variables. It’s next to impossible to base anything on what happened last year.

Some of these crazy takes about the last 5 minutes have to be from nerds who never played. It was complete domination the first 35 minutes and then guys lost the intensity. If you’ve ever played real sports and not just XBox, you would know it happens all the time. Would’ve been nice to finish strong but inconsequential. Y’all need to chill out.
